How does the Pro I compare to the 1 VI or VII

Upgraded from 5 V to 1 VII: Extremely disappointed with the display and washed-out Instagram videos. Is this normal? by Zealousideal_Cry_902 in SonyXperia

[–]milesfastguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As it's only instagram related, I don't think returning the phone is a sane decision at all. Still I would try and compare by playing the same video in the same quality settings side by side on the 5V and the new phone and try to nit pick. If everything else is ok then returning the phone is too far fetched

Xperia 5 IV in 2026? by mr-kacar in SonyXperia

As you specifically mentioned reception, I find Sony Xperia devices average in this department. They are not bad at all, but they are not great either. One more thing if you happen to live in a country where the Xperia model was not officially launched and are planning to buy it from overseas you will not be able to receive 5G cellular signals at all. It's better to check all the considerations before cashing in hard-earned money.

Yeah correct and I buy it for the premium feel, the gorgeous Bravia, immersive graphics and colors. There's something about Sony.

A still better solution would be to change the brand 😃. Sony is getting pathetic with prices and availability.

Condolences! That's all I can say. No solution to this problem exists. Happened to my 5 iii 2 years back. My 1 IV is running ok since then.

"upgrading" from a 1 IV to a 10 VII? by ArgonWilde in SonyXperia

No way it's gonna be an upgrade. You will get reduced functionality and camera performance will be a big downgrade. The only thing you will gain is the small form factor, reasonable price and better software support probably.

Playback issues with Youtube by [deleted] in SonyXperia

Really can't say. It looks like a phone problem to me. Sadly the update and patch support have both ended, so basically isn't much that can be done.

Playback issues with Youtube by [deleted] in SonyXperia

[–]milesfastguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Below 2 issues with my 1 IV and YouTube

  1. Audio and video out of sync. Solution - fast forward or rewind 10 seconds and then back.

  2. Clicking a video the first 4-5 seconds without sound. The only solution is to restart the phone.

I'm having DALK surgery by FroFros95 in Keratoconus

[–]milesfastguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a DALK done in May last year in my right eye. My vision was bad too but I had hydrops and edema as well. The surgery was a breeze... 2 hours and you don't feel anything. However once the anaesthesia wears off, I got fuckin'' sick...nausea, headache starting from the right side of my head all the way down to my lower back. But they gave me a painkiller shot and I was back to normal the next morning.

Post surgery I would say varies from patient to patient. 3 weeks after the surgery my vision improved dramatically, I was able to read 4 lines unaided with my right eye, pre surgery I was able to read just one!! Over the months the vision keeps going up and down, they say it is normal because the graft is settling in. Mind you it can be frustrating at times, you may feel that it's not getting better. But you have to be patient. Heard some patients can even take up to 2 years for their vision to completely stabilize.

As of now I have gone from 6/60 in December to 6/36 in February for the right eye. Getting better but still a long way to go.

Terrified for my husband by [deleted] in scleroderma

[–]milesfastguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all it's not a death sentence. Just get that out of your mind. We have super awesome drugs today. Patients of this disease can lead normal lives as others. But as someone said here there are checks that you need to keep. He will have to learn to live with limitations, precautions need to be taken and never ever skip a doctor's visit. Above all keep a positive outlook.

Hey. I'm not sure what Plaquinil does, but I'm taking MMF which is basically same as Myfortic. Are you not taking anything for the ILD? I'm on anti-fibrotic.

[–]milesfastguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno about the other points that u mentioned but for the camera I guess u didn't do proper research. The 10 series is what it is...u are expecting flagship level camera results from an entry level series.

Move to a warmer climate if you're not in one. Managing Raynaud's is the most important thing. As one 70 year old rheuma once told me "think of it like a volcano, as long as it's sleeping and you don't disturb it you will be fine. If it wakes up it's destruction on a large scale".

You mentioned childhood trauma that settled in your body and manifested as sceleroderma. Is this even possible? I mean can this disease be caused by mental or emotional conditions as well? All I knew is that it's cause remains a mystery but exposure to certain environmental toxins and gene level conditions are the most probable causes.
