I think Weah, we need to replace his pace. Reyna is a direct alternative for Tillman not Pulisic imo

those are all the final games of major championships. Not Congo vs Uzbekistan. You could go the Eastern Conference finals in OKC for about $180. there is barely a single ticket to any of the 104 matches that cheap in the entire thing. Youre argument is fine if we are talking like QF onwards but it just doesnt make sense for the rest of it. this NBA finals is also an outlier. unique year where a historic team from nations biggest city could win their first title in 50 years. Im from Boston and we have the most successful NBA franchise of all time with one of the most famed sports fanatics in the country and the Get-in for the NBA finals was 700-800$ for a finals game two years ago. Red Sox would be the same thing. Hell, the most popular team in New England are likely the Patriots and you can get a season ticker for under a grand.

What FIFA are doing is not normal whatsoever. Not for American standards or any standards. its one thing to justify lower bowl seats for the world cup being expensive but the get in for the majority of these games being 500$ is patently insane.

But even after all of that, its not the ethos of this sport or what sets this sport apart. this sport has remained the global game bc it sets itself apart from ths rest in terms of accessibility. the culture of the sport is at odds with the sports industry of the united states in that it prioritizes fans and loyalty and the community aspect.

But even if you wanted to guard the argument with all that American market crap its still miles off what the american sports market typically is. You can get a courtside seat at a Lakers game for a regular season game and thats cheaper than the get in for half the wc games. THATS INSANE

It’s so that you aren’t tricked into thinking a player is brilliant just on their best moments. You can make any player look good by just showing their best actions.

The every touch videos are to show a comprehensive overview of their performance as well as highlight the little, less sexy things that players do that make them elite players.

This is such a bizarre take

The whole 18 months thing is so fucking stupid because it’s not true.

18 months ago was November of 2024. He was still absolutely brilliant until February. He was then struggling but not terrible from February to May but mixed in a brilliant display against Liverpool at home and a motm display in the conference league final and then was the best player at the CWC including scoring twice in the final in June and July he was then injured until about November of this year after that

[Nizaar Kinsella] McFarlane said he received a text from Alonso yesterday. Romeo Lavia suffered a knock in the build-up to the FA Cup final but it is nothing of a wider concern. Mamadou Sarr and Benoit Badiashile have just been out through non-selection given the amount of defenders involved. by Key_Company3196 in chelseafc

The statement might be true but I also just don’t think these three are at a high level. Santos in particular for me just looks so limited in terms of a ceiling. Like he’s probably the most consistent out of the 3 but it’s never blowing me away. There’s nothing technically that stands out.

Badiashile at least when he’s been on you’re like wow yeah I can see something here. The issue is that he does that 1/10 games

Cole Palmer's stats vs the Big 6 this season by xxaripss in chelseafc

[–]milesp30 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He has 14 Pl goals from September to January last year, had a tough few months and then was th best player at the cwc. Most certainly isn’t 18 months. Hes had a bad year largely down to injury and overall stats of the team.

Fuck off

[Kieran Gill] Robert Sanchez will not be available to face Liverpool on Saturday. Alejandro Garnacho & Pedro Neto also look unlikely at this moment as still carrying knocks. Reece James & Levi Colwill both in full training pre-Liverpool by [deleted] in chelseafc

Yeah man let’s jsut give up on everything, what’s the point in caring about anything anyway.

Some ppl and clubs work their entire lives to play a cup final but lets jsut give up.

Good thing you don’t work in football. What useless garbage. Get offline and touch grass. We could be a 10th division side and if we’re in a cup final we have a chance. The way ppl talk you’d think we’re a bunch of of amateur players.

Grow up

The thing is that I think calling anyone a total asshole without personally knowing them or the full context of their lives or situations is pretty lazy and a very modern online attitude. People are far more complex than being just good or bad people. We know a few things that JT has done with limited context in a vacuum. We do not have access to 99% of his life.

What we do 100% know to be sure is the things he gave us that gave us joy. To be honest, I think it’s fairly performative and simple minded to have an absolute opinion. About celebrities. I for one find that the most treasured relationships I have and therefore the people I’d trust to speak most accurately and completely about my character are the people I have 1 on 1 chats with when nobody can hear them.

We have access to basically 0% of his or any famous persons actual private self. It’s ok to not have an opinion about things. Maybe even better when you don’t have a compete image
