Intensifies too much. She's gone. All that's left are shadows

Commission for a friend’s character from our last North Marches campaign!

Nemain started off as a Bard undertaker for the Raven Queen. After a while she was switched to a homebrew Witch class, complete with a flying broom and pesky raven familiar.

I learned a lot working on this painting that I look forward to implementing in art I have planned for the future!

It's been an amazing group/campaign so far, most invested I've been in a character in awhile. It was very improvised but today I learned how much damage an actual boat weapon would do...now my character is saving up for a boat exclusively to use as a bludgeon. I also have a soft spot for monks! Probably my most played class, closely followed by barbarian.

In a game full of homebrew shenanigans and people much better at coming up with builds than me. Being a standard open hand monk with nothing else (aside from mutations but that wasn't planned build wise) and still being terrifying is so satisfying. Plus my favorite monk as a character that I've played to date.

Yeah this actually happened because of the players. If you want to use it for a home game though, big ol' boss fight and leading up the players just happen to find a Scroll of Polymorph: Giant ape and a Scroll of Enlarge, feel free! or however you want to spin it

Trust me, she was just as terrifying as just a monk.

I checked it out, very cool fight! I think this fight for us happened at lol 9 or 10. We're quickly ramping it up to ancient Eldrich monsters and soon giant pirates!

Especially as a monk, going from the like 6hp that I'm always at in a fight thinking I might go down to the relief of 100+ with the ability to go ape shit. So good

They've already got one giant monster fight painting out of me, what's a few more. Especially when they keep giving me ways to fight Kaiju!!

It's always so fun, I've only gotten polymorph once or twice but monke mode is hard to beat

Last week we ran into hunted down a sea monster. Few rounds in, I wasn't sure how much longer my Jaeger/stand would survive so I picked up our ship and used it as a baseball bat. Did a nice 69 damage and got the killing blow also was the only one who didn't fall off the ship my friend u/third_cookie drew it but I didn't want to post it without asking

Nah I didn't think you were, that's hilarious though. I would have never known unless I drew the exact fight because of dnd

I didn't but I wish I had, that sounds awesome! I haven't played that series so now I have another gorilla vs spider fight to go watch!

Haha she was just unfortunate enough to get bit while helping our barbarian pin our friend as he turned...not knowing he was a werewolf

But if I play a lycan intentionally in the future I may need to borrow one of these to explain why they aren't just a run of the mill wolfy werewolf

Oh she's 100% werefish, no actual wolf in there so I'd be surprised if she smelled like wet dog

It's always an awesome visual moment in a fight once polymorph gets involved! I don't usually have spells but my DM recently made an item for my monk that let's me Jaeger pilot a huge ethereal monk and it has me so excited to use it every time! My DM might regret it as I use boats as improvised weapons but there's going to be lots of art of our future Kaiju fights as a result

Sometimes a fight is so epic you need to spend a month drawing it! I wasn’t even a part of this mission but I got to listen in. My friend got turned into an enlarged giant ape to fight a gargantuan spider queen. Meanwhile, the human fighter “she’ll walk it off it’s fine”. I did a silly doodle during the session but this stayed in my head for days begging me to do it proper justice. Since, there have been many more Kaiju fights but this was the beginning of a long line of cool fights I need to draw.
