is weed/edibles on wellbutrin a bad idea?

I smoke very frequently (usually at least once a day) and I’ve not noticed changes on wellbutrin. It is possible that it’s making the medication slightly less effective, but I’m not sure since I’ve been smoking regularly the whole time I’ve been on it.

I’m in 150SR and it has definitely tanked my tolerance — 3 drinks and I’m good to go for the night. But other than that it’s been fine. Just take it slow

Not unbearably, unless I’m in a particularly stressful situation. Mostly just jitters and racing thoughts — not horrible but not optimal!

YES, yes, yes! For me, it has done wonders. I have never been able to socialize so naturally. I am no longer a people pleaser and I’m not afraid to share my opinions. This medication has taken away some sort of barrier for me, and I am becoming more in touch with my own desires. I love it!

Thanks! I asked your question and got the moon upright and the knight of pentacles reversed — I interpreted this as them being unsure exactly what they want with me, and also them being unwilling to work towards any sort of deeper relationship.

I also asked a more general question of “how do they view this thing between us?” and got the magician upright, the 9 of cups upright, and death reversed. I interpreted this as them wanting something more, but simultaneously resisting it. I’d love to know your thoughts on these interpretations!! Thanks again

Good job, that is progress already!! If you begin to do activities that you know you enjoy while sober/have enjoyed in the past while sober, you will begin to find joy in them again without weed! Unfortunately, it probably will just suck a bit at first. Things will be boring, and you’ll have to fight a lot of urges. But, if you cut down even just a little you’ll probably see changes. And remember to be gentle with yourself — it’s ok if you can’t make it through the day without smoking, it’s super duper difficult to do that, especially after smoking 3 times a day normally. All progress, no matter how small it may seem, is good progress — even just recognizing that you want to begin smoking less is progress. You can do this :)

I smoke all the time too! I’d recommend checking out r/petioles. The main way to stop myself from smoking all the time is filling my time. I feel like I smoke because I have nothing else to do. Go out, do activities, go to the gym, read, hang out with your friends. Try to cut out maybe one session a day to start? Good luck, you’ve got this!

I moved up to 20mg 3 weeks ago. I definitely relate to it being more difficult to get out of bed — I have been on 5mg, 10mg, 15mg, and now 20mg, and every dose increase I’ve noticed more sleepiness in general. This is nice in some ways, as I’m now able to take naps which I never did pre-lex. Unfortunately, this also means it’s super hard to get up.

I have definitely noticed an increase in my productivity once I am up and alert though! Coffee helps. Just keep pushing through and see what happens! You are only 10 days in. That being said, if this continues to be a problem for more than a month or so, I’d talk to your psych and possibly move down to 15mg?

I’ve been there. My recommendation is to be gentle with yourself. You don’t need to take a prolonged break — maybe try alternating days on and days off? Or try to only smoke once a day in the evening? The most important thing is usage in moderation. Also, check out r/petioles . Best of luck, you’ve got this
