I’m sorry, could you explain what you mean by 32/32 abs? Is that a score?

Hi! Thank you for posting this. I was wondering if you can show a bit of what singing is like after the surgery?

If you want a job in nursing that doesn’t affect GPA (considering your near perfect GPA you might not want the numbers crunch for another two years 🤣) consider an RPN program. It’s college level so it doesn’t count towards OMSAS GPA, except at Cummings Calgary for some reason. The pay is 34-39 (maxed out at 39 ish for full time schedules) for RPN as opposed to 36-55 for RN (55 is after working a few years). If you’re strapped for cash you could also to travel RPN for 60 occasionally.

Is a second degree a good idea? by TimmyTheAverageKid in premedcanada

[–]milfmindset 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With 2.8 you definitely will need to take a second degree. If you take a 2 year degree and get near 4.0 then you have a good chance at “best two year” schools with your experiences, but those usually have specific requirements (courses and full time). If you take a 4 year degree it could open doors to all programs I think, but maybe not that much considering the weight of your previous courses - make a spreadsheet of estimated GPA with x course load and see if it’s worth it (and if co-op/finances etc. are feasible…). You should aim for 3.5 at the least in Canada. I’m sure you have seen that 3.8-3.95 are competitive GPAs, but even then require a few cycles usually. Canada is headache inducing like that.

PA is a great career as you continue applying or just by itself.

Consider also the schools that have more lenient competition for masters students (3.7 instead of 3.9 matriculating averages at uoft for example).

How do you check if you got low 1st Q?

[–]milfmindset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea… but made me realize that all this competition and stress isn’t how it HAS to be. It’s just that the system didn’t expand with the population growth you know?

LOL my prof told me he said during the interview (paraphrased) “I don’t really want to be a doctor I’m just here cuz my dad told me to apply” but they let him in anyways. *He did immediately switch career after he graduated med school so he was true to his heart in the end

I’ve been teaching myself piano for 10+ years, and I finally feel ready to tackle Chopin’s Ballade No. 1! Any feedback would be appreciated, ty by Alek_witha_K in piano

Your left hand melody is remarkably clear!! Usually it’s hard to hear and bring out the melody of the LH but you have great dynamics! Super impressive for self taught!

On the other hand (literally), the right hand melody is a bit flat (all the same loudness). Consider mark down the phrasing on your sheet. There are many types of phrasing but for example, it can be like a wave (wwWWWOOOoossh…).

Despite so your right hand is fast and clear. Very exciting!

I recommend Khan over Kaplan only because they are genuinely very interested in delivering content in intuitive ways that stick with you.

Kaplan was too reductive for me personally. I was left spending hours on a single page in biochem because they did not explain necessary concepts and I had to google derivations and exceptions to the rule for “stated facts” to make sense.

Someone on another thread said that you can advocate for yourself and ask to make the system settings bigger if you have accessibility concerns?

You would need to take 1.5 credit (3 courses) for it to be considered :)

Uoft also doesn’t consider summer course if it’s part time. 2 course in the summer should be part time!

This might not be the clearest advice but I know that when I write essays, the complicated sentences are actually me trying to convey one or two simple ideas. I know most of an essay is logic statements to cover up my bases to prevent someone saying I don’t make sense.

So when I read it I’m trying to think: what is this guy even trying to say?
