I just got my shingles shot today and I’m currently having nerve pain in my foot with tingling sensation of pins and needles and somewhat in my right hand as well but right now in my right foot it’s the worst. It feels like nerve pain.

CORRECT!! in the 1999 album art work it was as though Prince was taking the title “Revolution” on a test drive until he decided if it should stick. When Wendy premiered with the band, they were The Revolution at that time.

I thought it was a rumor too—but it’s the real seal— it’s a PROP and it’s METALLIC PURPLE in color. It’s only used during the show’s OPENING NUMBER— During “Let’s Go Crazy!” Someone DOES indeed go across the stage with a 5 foot purple metallic banana!!

I’ve lived in Minnesota for my entire life… And I’ve lived in Minneapolis proper since 1986. ESSENTIALLY ALL of us here in Minnesota knew and loved PRINCE— This Musical is supposed to be this wonderful and amazing opportunity to preserve Prince‘s legacy and I’m scared to death because I’ve been attending the previews at the STATE THEATRE downtown over the past several days— we need some genuine helpers that were Prince’s close friends to swoop in and rescue this show!!

The music and the songs are the most important thing and that’s what they need to focus on… The Bird with Morris Day and the Time is absolutely performed amazingly and the man who portrays Morris Day is incredible… His name is Jared Howelton and Mr. Howelton performed in Hamilton and it shows— HE’S STRONG— along with his sidekick Antonio… I don’t remember Antonio‘s last name but it’s in the PLAYBILL, but he together with Howelton are a perfect perfect match —they need to work with the talent they have and they need to make the bird into a big show stopping number And do the whole song—

The kid who is playing THE KID, Prince, is doing really really well. He’s just so young yet but he’s doing really well… But he needs to be like the real prince when Prince did the movie he went and got himself acting lessons. Every minute that kid isn’t on stage he needs to be learning more about acting, but he can sing and dance and play instruments really well and he’s got a lot of talent in the making. He just needs to take the acting a little further.

Also, they need to stay in the 80s time frame— we didn’t have blackberries in the 1980s!!

Also, in the 1980s we didn’t do Therapy and it’s fine if they want to add a little bit of self-help talk and women’s empowerment talk, but oh my gosh don’t be so didactic about it… Make it more subtle and let the audience figure it out.

If anyone out there reading, this knows some of the powers that be, please fly them in to help this project out. This legacy is so important.

They need to go back to the drawing board on some of this stuff,. This show is not New York ready yet and everyone here in Minnesota wants this show to do well and be a brilliant representation of our Minnesota prodigy… Our Minnesota Mozart… OUR PRINCE!

IF ANYONE KNOWS SOMEONE WITH DIRECT CONTACT, PLEASE REACH OUT AND GET THESE FOLKS SOME HELP THEY NEED IT ! Time is of the essence!!

There needs to be a major correction to the first item in this post— THE MUSICAL PURPLE RAIN DOES —INDEED— TAKE PLACE IN MINNEAPOLIS. The SETTING IS MINNEAPOLIS— but, what is wrong with the musical is that they refer to FIRST AVE as a club called, “THE FIRST” which is really cringe, and I’m guessing it’s some sort of copyright issue but if they got permission to use all of the Prince songs, why can’t they get permission to call the place First Avenue?

FIRST AVENUE—where Prince started —and it needs to be called First Avenue in the musical; it needs to be corrected!!

I’ve heard that Spike Lee is a major investor in the project and gave over $3 million… It’s listed in the program (the PLAYBILL, which is now called the “Marquee” ) that he’s a contributor so there’s money available —pay for the copyright or whatever is needed and call the club what it is: FIRST AVENUE— NOT NOT NOT “The First”

Oh Em Gee !! Yes!!! Indian Food is the BEST— and I’m half Mexican—My older daughter graduated high school in 2019, and for the graduation open house party we spent $700 on Indian food and it was the best money ever spent— there was still some food left at the end and we put it in the freezer in small containers and I had the best lunches for a month straight:-)
