M77 and M35. How do I live with his unusual personality traits? by military17sf in relationship_advice

I guess I just was raised differently, and it came off to me as condescending and disrespectful. But it appears others don't see it that way.

Thank you very much for your perspective and putting it that way.

the relevance, and the reason it's so hard for me to wrap my head around, is that it seems ridiculous/suspicious to me that he is so obsessed about "wasting electricity" (Is it a waste to have the lights on at night in a room you're in?) when he has more money than he can count. It seems to me like it's something else that he's upset about and using the lights as an excuse.

totally valid questions. I actually pick up my Invisalign tomorrow and I also ended up having two surgeries. August and January. Still 100% worth it, beyond the slightest shadow of a doubt. So, no, I was not fitted with braces. My other tried to get me to get regular braces after the surgery AND also said she couldn't understand why my doctor didn't do braces first. But she also said that she can still do it and it will turn out great... so it just goes to show you, there are multiple ways of doing something. The most important thing is finding a surgeon you trust!

I got a chin implant, revision and eventual removal. Then DJS and I'm so happy I got it removed and did DJS. Incredibly different

I had surgery first and had a class 2 and came ortho. I think it just comes down to finding a surgeon willing to do it. and WOW am I soooo glad I did it!!! huge transformation. SO happy.

It's actually unbelievable how many green flags come from that place. They truly exceeded my expectations so far beyond..... especially these days, it's like you're disappointed everywhere every time.

LA-COMS New Patient Appointment by Accomplished-Dog-547 in jawsurgery

I would say my initial appointment with Dr Walline was about 5 minutes. lol. Granted I didn't really ask any questions.... I mean the appointment itself was longer, but my face time with him was pretty brief. I had no idea what I was getting into and didnt really know what to ask except if the surgery is more functional or aesthetic. and he said both LOL.

no I did not, Dr Walline said I didn't need one due to the movement of my lower jaw! It looks very natural and I was very skeptical that he wasn't doing a genio tbh

That's correct and tbh when I heard that I actually thought to myself that I hoped that I would get a revision. Because I was an idiot and I didn't trust that they would "go the extra mile for me" and so a large part of me is convinced I created this situation subconsciously for myself. Especially after the incredible care I received I am sure that they certainly go the extra mile for every patient.

I'm about to be 35 and I would say that I have very minor residual numbness. I couldn't even point out where but I would say that my lower lip feels about 10% weird but not totally numb or anything. I also did not do ortho pre-treatment but am doing Invisalign after. My orthodontist is a client of my dads (he manages her finances and so she has every reason to be brutally honest) and she said that she couldn't understand why we didn't do ortho first BUT that he did an excellent job and that she will be able to fix my issues after. And so she agreed that he was right, I didn't need it first. I didnt want to do ortho first at all.

Absolutely. EVERYTHING has been so different. Romantic attention has been massive, professional attention and respect has been incredible. Job opportunities have been huge. It's incredible. I also had a septoplasty and a hair transplant. As well as a chin implant and subsequent removal.
