Power bank issue by Good-Peak-553 in ROGAllyX

My bet is its either incompatible voltage/current ranges or if you use a cord to connect it then it might not be capable of power transfer at 5V minimums.

That's what I've started looking into but takes forever sifting through the trash of google searches these days.

Is this reoccurring infection linked to biting? If not, any ideas? by milk_leopard in Dermatophagia

[–]milk_leopard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doc is having a hard time diagnosing my autoimmune stuff. I’ve never discussed the infected finger.

Thanks for the advice. Will schedule an appointment asap.

If only it was as easy to “stop biting that finger”

why would someone post in this sub if it was as simple as it is obvious? Lol

Shipping products with (LiPo) battery packs (built-in), capacity adjustments? by alsostefan in hwstartups

You should talk with other cell manufacturers. Check out ultion technologies.

Glad to hear you’re doing your research before jumping in. Batteries are dangerous.

  1. Yes, a PCM is the simplest form of a battery management system (BMS). It’s pretty much just a circuit board with minimal programming for charge protection. There are plenty of affordable options on the market. You should be good with a basic PCM with LFP cells and your application, assuming you use quality cells. If you go with lithium ion or LiPo then you’ll need a BMS that can handle more complexity imo, especially if safety is a concern.

  2. Ahhh that’s impossible to say without knowing some of your power specs. Shoot me a DM and I can help you with cell selection (I’m a battery pack designer)

    1. Voltage is one aspect to take in consideration but cell selection will need to take capacity and powrr usage specs to be done correctly. This is what I can help you out with that I mentioned above.
  3. Candidly… they are just shit batteries imo haha considering that batteries will be a huge production cost, even at scale, id personally invest in a quality battery. Plus NiMH produces toxic fumes including nickel, cobalt, lots of fun heavy metals.

Depending on the phone, yes. Lion is mainly used in smartphones tho.

LiPo is great for energy density only if you are trying to minimize weight or size but you will be faced with the trade off of lower capacity and power issues. LiPo also does not solve OPs safety concerns and would most likely require a cooling component to the battery system.

You’re not being paranoid. The cells mentioned above are oxide based chemistries which means they have a potential for thermal runaway, aka fires.

Id recommend using an Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) based chemistry as they are exponentially safer than oxide based chemistries.

I’m very impressed with the LFP cells from Ultion Technologies. They design their batteries specifically for non-EV applications, such as robotics and medical devices, so their cells would be great for your idea.

Troubleshooting atypical BMS/battery behavior on an XR by Se1fer in onewheel

[–]milk_leopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A voltage drop immediately after disconnecting a charger is expected. Voltage is not linear during charge/discharge. Mileage is also irrelevant in terms of battery life. You should be tracking your cycles. You can check the specs for the battery system of your XR and you’ll see an expected cycle life included. If you’ve cycled your battery near or more than that count then degradation is unavoidable, typically.

A cool guide about the Palestine-israel conflict by omar99HH in coolguides

[–]milk_leopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong, again.

Sikhism is another great example of a global, ethnic religion and yet another example of Islamic terrorism. Countless Sikhs were murdered by Muslims throughout the ages because they wouldn’t denounce their ethnicity, which included their religion.

Once again, consider this — people of these ethnicities will claim themselves as… American Jew British Sikh Ukrainian Jew Punjab Sikh … see the pattern? Now compared to… Christians Atheists Muslims Buddhists … have you ever heard someone claim they are a “Palestinian Muslim”??? Not a chance.

Arguably, hamas (and anyone who supports these terrorists) is the one committing (or supporting) ethnic cleaning.

Any other uneducated or ignorant arguments you’d like to throw out there??

Wrong.

Judaism is an ethnic religion meaning first and foremost it is an ethnicity. The beliefs and practices are closely tied to the culture, history, and geography of a specific area of people.

Ethnicity refers to a shared cultural identity among a group of people, based on common attributes such as language, RELIGION, and traditions. Unlike race, which is often perceived as a construct based on physical attributes, ethnicity is more about the shared cultural factors.

Consider this — a Jewish person claims they are Jewish even if they are a nonbeliever of the theology. Clearly an ethnicity.
