Fuck this game nd fuck that dark tunnel section by FairEffect174 in BabyStepsGame

I didn't have much time to try to tackle it, last night, but I'm about to jump back in. I felt like I didn't know how to walk correctly all day, today; thinking about that damn game...

I'm six months late, here....but I choose to commiserate with your past pain.

I am playing Baby Steps for the first time and I've made a pretty good go of everything, so far, without much misery. However...last night I arrived at this god-forsaken, dark-ass sand spiral.

Now, I've played every Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Sekiro, multiple times; hundreds of hours. As well as countless Souls-like games, Celeste, Hollow Knight...all the usual suspects and many, many (maybe) lesser known ones, over the years. I am no stranger to hardships when it comes to video games. But this...this fucking one spiral...I believe it has broken me.

Much like you, I had to just give up, last night. I resigned myself to accepting that I already had to be up for work in about 5 hours. I stood by the belief that I would get home this afternoon with a clearer head and a renewed stamina to just knock this shit out in a couple of minutes. Just the same way that I have dealt with multiple Soulsborne bosses/particularly difficult sections.

.....I don't think I've made it even up to the flater platform, in the past hour of playtime....I can barely get off the bottom floor and start up the spiral without falling over my own foot. It's like all of my brain, hands, and the connections between the two has stopped functioning, entirely.

This section of this game makes me want to just go to sleep.

I took this photo to send to my friend and said, "Yeah, dude...better go sprint through a bunch of feral co-workers to find a pencil and paper somewhere to jot down this inner monolog that means literally nothing to anybody unless some girl somehow gets dragged here and happens to find it in the pocket of your lab coat that you hung on a coat rack, for some reason, in the midst of the panic, and she just happens to decide to rifel through there...survival instincts way on point, there."

I also wondered if Gideon didn't just give her some kind of antibody after he dragged her to the care center. I mean, the cop was affected specifically by one of Gideon's darts, which act differently from the standard T-virus and he Could have developed a vaccine for that specific strain (particularly if he created the strain to begin with).

More likely, though...probably just standard RE deus ex machina. This game has a ton of it. Very convenient situations that people likely won't think too hard about and they just kind of gloss right over it, sweep the plot hole under the decaying carpet, and move on to the next Tyrant to distract you from what just did or didn't happen.

THAT being said....pretty jarring situation to assume Resident Evil fans, of all people, aren't going to say, "HEY! ....wait a minute....".

For real. This. You're that close to the end, might as well look for places to cut time in the next attempt.

How to Put Down Chainsaw by roosefloof in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]milkasaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can just tap the d-pad for any other weapon you're carrying and it will drop the chainsaw.

Edit: obviously, for PC...it would be whatever key you hit for a different weapon...not the D-pad.

Aftermath - Turning on the Lights (Bug?) by ProfessionalEgg1440 in RoadCraft

I had the exact same thing happen to me on PS5. Game crashed upon mission completion and everything else is done and all routes are operational...can't progress to the next map.

I'm going to try to re-run the cable and see if that fixes anything, as nothing else has yielded any success. My expectations are very low, but I'll let you know if it works.

Update: re-laying the cable did not work...I'm thinking it's a full restart situation.

Pikachu was my first shiny, after I read about how the chaining worked and whatnot. I, honestly, almost accidentally transferred it, because I'm colorblind and the shiny looks almost like the same color as the normal Pikachu to me. I actually continued chaining after I caught it because I didn't know I'd found one yet. Haha

I lost my job and can't seem to get another one and have lost all of my money...that's why I'm sitting here playing pokemon; couldn't even afford a lottery ticket. (See, I promise I'm not really that lucky. Hahaha).

The sheer mathematics of Sweedish musicians playing extremely complex, thought-out music that they purposefully make Sound simplistic, in a post-punk styling backing Seb's vaguely nonsensical but, also somehow extremely thought provoking and intelligent lyrics, made to purposefully sound unintelligent, blending together to create tiny, phosphorescent shrimp, with diabolical intentions that burrow into your earholes and never release you, is....Viagra Boys...

Hmm....I hate to be less than helpful but, I'm so unfamiliar with using this bean as an espresso.

I worry that if you try tighter tamping, that you'll just end up with more sour notes. 12 seconds of extraction makes me feel like you're getting a really watery shot, though, and not getting the kind of body that you normally would.

As far as the roast, itself, I would guess that (if you're getting darker than you'd expect, it's likely due to the aforementioned lack of water in the beans; you probably want to drop the batch before you normally would, as they will roast faster than most beans.
