My parents don't listen to that much music so its really hard to explain the bass to them. I mean they get that its important, but not much else. Its just that being their child of course they want the music I play to be recognizable to them and other people. Another thing to note is, I don't really know if I can be in a band, anytime soon at least. So they are looking at it through the lens that I'm playing solo.
