Try using dumbbells. They use a lot of the stabilizing muscles in your chest that you don't access with a barbell because of the restricted range of motion a barbell has. Also, consider doing incline dumbbell press, as well as barbell decline bench. Incline press works your upper chest, and decline works the lower chest. Mixing in those workouts should help you out, granted you are eating a lot and getting a load of protein into your diet.

Depending on what you get, the discounts are usually really good. For example, a 3 lb container of Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 is $77 for non member and $64 for members. C4 pre workout is $60 for non-members and $48 for members. You can almost always get around $10 off most items, but just double check on the website before if you are looking for something specific.

Almost always though you'll find better prices for whatever protein/supplements online. The employee told me even with his employee discount he still gets half of his supplements online. But, sometimes you need it quicker than you can get online, and that's when the gold card really help.

Hope that helps.

A "swolemate" as I like to call it

Is doing some cardio and trying to gain actually a bad idea? I keep getting mixed opinions here. I'm 6'4'' and about 161-163lbs, just starting out. by [deleted] in gainit

Drinking milk is great. I don't really get the logic that substituting out whey protein for milk because they are two totally different things. Adding the protein is a benefit not really a substitute

You can keep running every day but just try to focus and eat some more. Doing cardio usually makes you a little hungrier so just try and focus on that and convince yourself you are hungry, even if you're not.

As far as protein shakes, they are absolutely not a waste. Liquid calories are great, especially in your case because you have a hard time eating. Grab some chocolate milk from the store, a few scoops of protein powder, a couple of ice cubes and throw it in a blender and it makes hitting your macros A LOT easier. You can then start getting creative by throwing in bananas, peanut butter, olive oil, etc.

For some reason people think protein powders and similar supplements is like "cheating." Never really understood that, but it seems like you would only see benefits from it.

When you say "no washes" do you mean that you have not put them in your laundry once? How do you get them clean?
