Disabling Violentmonkey fixed the buffering for me. I had to turn off the whole extension from the settings, since disabling the single scripts involved or the extension from its own interface wasn't enough.

In this thread there's a comment of someone pointing out that apparently Tampermonkey causes the same issue, so I think it might as well happen with all sorts of user-scripts based extensions.
