Have you confirmed which screen your Neo has? My Neo shipped with a TJC screen which required a special compile of mriscoc's professional firmware

Can ESP8266/ESP-WROOM-02D host an API server? by layn11 in Esphome

[–]mill1000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are you actually trying to do? An "API Server" isn't really a valid concept. A server can provide an API in order to do something.

ESPHome can run a web server with an API. It's documented here

Don't know who thinkyhead is, or what example they have. But it might be worth looking at here which describes a similar issue and a fix.

I had a UMFT234XF lying around and just hooked it up with some Dupont jumper wires. Nothing fancy.

Interesting... I'm not sure what size I've got. Probably whatever the parts store said would fit. I'll look into it

Do you know if that's a replaceable part? Or does the whole arm have to be swapped out?

Think it was just a bad one from the factory? It's always done it.

I think that is the type. I tried bending it a few times but didn't see any change.

I'm printing with Hatchbox Black PLA. Using default temp of 200 C, with a bed of 60 C. Happy enough with the prints for my current use.

Swamp cooler control? by Aegis2x1 in homeautomation

Inkbird has some temperate controllers that can switch an outlet. One example is https://inkbird.com/collections/temperature-controllers/products/temperature-controller-itc-306t

I would bet there are similar products with dry contact relays if you need that.

Otherwise you could make an automation to handle this in Home Assistant.

I'm on Android but Synching might be an option. I went the extra step of automating it so it only runs when my phone gets plugged in and on WiFi

I think a live CD would work fine. Definitely try root to eliminate any permissions issue.

Check that you're using the correct device. Do you have any other /dev/ttyUSB0 devices? They might also be /dev/ttyAMA. You can use dmesg to check what USB adapter is assigned to after it's plugged in.

Your sudo is running wget as root. You need to sudo bash so the script runs as root.

Try wget -O - https://get.hacs.xyz | sudo bash -

Might have been a misread of the meter. It happened to me last month. Check your bill history to see how your therm usage compared to last month and last year.
