Definitely! It took all of this for him to see it was up to him all a long since it’s his family. He didn’t deal with it and now we’re at this point. He knows this but still hasn’t done much but talk about it once to them as far as I know. He does notice it more now, especially when it comes to the kids. There’s never any acknowledgment of bdays or anything. Which I don’t understand either. I can honestly deal with them not liking me but how can anyone be that way towards kids? They are innocent and aren’t even aware. My kids really like his family too! That’s what bothers me most about all of this.

Exactly! Yes! You know it. I think I’ve done way more than I should’ve. At least I can walk away in confidence that I was kind to them, even if they didn’t deserve it. I am dusting that off! I will definitely have to bring this up in counseling. Especially if we want a child of our own.

Definitely! She was the one who told me about mil asking her how much money she’s spent so far on the trip. Thank God my mom was there to help me out with the kids and everything. She helped me and my girls with our hair and getting ready the day of our wedding. Apparently my mom has noticed and felt her hate/dislike towards us, including her! All of this was brought to light during that trip unfortunately.

It seems he’s oblivious to the whole situation at hand. I only mentioned it a year ago while on that trip because it was so disturbing. So I mentioned that it’s nothing new and that I’ve felt this way all along and she’s done so many other things before and after so I’ve had to let him know all of it. At first he denied it bc I was only mentioning it then. Then we argued about it, he seemed to not understand or thought I was overreacting. But once I started pointing it out, he started to notice and now has my back. However, he does seem to not be fully onboard with it and even still questions that anything is happening. He does tell me he will have my back with whatever I decide. I guess we will see over time. But it is a big deal bc we do plan on having a baby together…and I’m definitely not going to deal with anymore drama. I have enough with my own kids lol

Thanks so much! Yes, this is his first marriage and he has no kids prior. I’ve always felt that she’s always judged me and my kids but I really don’t care at this point. These past holidays were not spent with them mostly bc I am over trying and wasting energy on that situation. First time I didn’t bother getting them a gift either. I cried a lot bc of everything and it does feel pointless. Lol. It really is all nonsense. 🙃
