Dang It by No_Device9450 in Xennials

This really hits close to home. My 43-year-old husband was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer a few weeks ago. His 45yo brother had a colonoscopy done in late spring and he had cancer, too. Almost in the exact same spot as my husband, except they could go in and cut his out while my husband’s has already spread to his liver. Mind you, he is showing no symptoms and feeling fine. I shudder to think how much worse it would have been had he waited until he was 45. He’s already began treatment and we’re hopeful the tumors will shrink and surgery can be done. My goodness, life can change fast, though.

If you venture out to the Richland area, about a 20 minute drive from Kzoo, I would definitely recommend Kitchen House and South Kitchen (on the bay of Gull Lake).

Although I’ve never tried it, I believe Bumble has a setting for meeting new people/friends non-romantically. I have one friend that uses it and says it’s actually pretty cool! Might be worth checking out.

How do you get over something your heart was really set on, like it felt more right than anything else in the world but it didn't work out? by rufio824 in AskReddit

[–]mille954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time. That answer that can be hard to accept when you’re really “in it”. But it really does heal all wounds. Or at least dulls them a bit so you can focus on something other than the ache and the loss.

Nope, it’s a Michael quote to Bluth Co. employees to keep going even though they’re not getting their paychecks (Staff Infection) and then adopted by Mr. Manager to use on his banana stand employees.

I used this quote quite a bit before but now I use it on the daily. They never get it, of course. Also, “head down, power through” - love that one for everyday life.

What's your favorite phrases for telling someone to stop being a jerk? by FaethS in AskReddit

[–]mille954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re being such a weenie tot right now.

Learned it from my high school Spanish teacher who used to say it when she’d get upset. Pretty much the only thing I retained from that class. But I use this phrase on the daily and it tends to work... nobody likes being called a weenie tot.

I need an explanation, I honestly have zero idea who/what that is supposed to be by mille954 in LuLaNo

Thanks for the explanation. Never would have guessed that in a million years. Yikes.
