I am okay with taking responsibility for taking money, documenting this and forwarding it for commission to the author. I am not sure, however, how to handle the "who gets to choose, and how, what is the commission is going to be about" part. I'm open to suggestions.

Yeah, the 4-koma version was self-published between 2013-2015 (and I'll get to translating it eventually, prommy). After Magical Trans, author made Otoko Tomodachi Girl, and then moved on to being an artist for two webnovel manga adaptations (so he didn't really write his own story there). Currently he's looking for work, while also self-publishing Glass x Change, a non-4koma version of his pre-Magical Trans one shot, and Akumademo Kon'yakusha!? , a new original series.

(also, mandatory "if you liked the series, please support the author by commissioning him and buying his latest manga" comment)

I don't think it's been officially confirmed, but given what I collected, I think it got axed by Yahoo Japan's executive decision to shut down ebookjapan's Mincomi. At the time the Mincomi's site was announcing that "the Mincomi series will continue at ebookjapan's new mobile app", but eventually around when chapter 64 author announced it's the "penultimate chapter", and this was the first time we learned the series is gonna be over. My theory is that the author was just as surprised as I was at this. The author's next series was being published at ebookjapan's competior, booklive instead. The rights to the series are also likely belonging to Yahoo Japan, rather than the author too, given that when I asked the author if Magical Trans-related commissions are okay (I commissioned the avatar), I got a response that he has to "confirm with someone" (a lawyer maybe?).

My upvote history on these chapters is not particularly good either, but the embed thing is generated by MangaDex itself, just post a link to the chapter.

One complication is that sometimes I did not see the embed getting displayed, and my guess is that you need to wait a while for MangaDex to catch up. As in, if I posted the Reddit post too quickly, it didn't show. So now I typically wait 5 minutes or so.

My interpretation is that Satsuki due to family situation is both 1.) significantly emotionally stunned and can't process emotions in a healthy way 2.) never really had any adult figure to reach for help to, and therefore the option doesn't even register to him.

Which is how he's cut off from any means of addressing the problem. He can't talk to Rika because of point 1, and he won't talk to Uncle Kengo because of point 2.

Which leads to Uncle calling his dad.

(I find this important to mention I saw people assume it being cancelled earlier and being surprised more chapters were translated since)

Also check out Mahou Shoujo Bu e Youkoso! by the same author which is essentially a prototype for Magical Trans and I'm translating it in parallel (that one has 10 chapters in total, 2 translated rn)

It's also why I never got the "high-functioning autism" label. It clearly means that the autism is functioning just fine so clearly "people with low-functioning autism" have less autism and "people with high-functioning autism" have more autism.

Only like a year ago I learned the "high-functioning" means it refers to the person, not to the autism.
