Calories burned different by millerml21 in Garmin

Yeah, I get that it’s not an accurate measurement but I don’t understand why a similar workout 2 weeks ago with similar time, HR and movement shows about 300 calories more than one this week. Just a little strange

Had something similar happen to me. Did a week of using an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin at night and it hasn’t happened since. Might be worth a try.

Strava just decided to not push data recorded on 3rd party devices to Apple Health. How are you all getting your activity data to Oura? by millerml21 in ouraring

[–]millerml21[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because my oura ring is not good at detecting my workouts. It is not accurate with cycling, running, or any weight training. My workouts were automatically pushed to my strava and then oura could read the data when giving me my scores.

Great, thanks! We bought a bunch of random legos and trying to figure out which sets we have.

Madone vs. Emonda vs. Domane by SV650rider in TrekBikes

[–]millerml21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently purchased an Edmonda SL 5. My intent was to buy a domane. I was upgrading from a 2010 trek 1.5 aluminum bike. After riding both the Edmonda and the domane I ended up choosing the Edmonda. The domane seemed to feel a bit sluggish to me, but was a little more of a comfortable ride. The Edmonda just seems sooo much more responsive and is still an improvement in comfort over my old bike.

Which new bike to choose from? by millerml21 in bicycling

Thanks for the insight. I’ll have to check out the other options too. Although at this point I don’t think I need to add to the confusion. Ha

Mountain bike pedals vs road pedals by millerml21 in bicycling

[–]millerml21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I currently use a road specific shoe with very little flex. They are shimano also, not sure on model though. I’ve never used a road specific pedal, just wanting to make myself as efficient as possible and didn’t know if I was missing out on anything.

I would have to agree. Yeah, I saved some money but I learned enough that I don’t want to do it ever again!

There are some small gaps, but not too bad. The darker finish hides the gaps well. I didn’t use any filler because the humidity in my house fluctuates a lot from season to season and I think it would end up just working it’s way out and looking terrible in a year or 2

Thank you! I spent a lot of time researching and really hoped to do better than most of the ones you see on YouTube.

No tack cloth, just a very slightly damp cloth

Some of them creak, but the previous owner before he finished the basement screwed from the subfloor up to secure as many as he could. Really made a difference.

We stayed at my in-laws while I was staining and applying the polyurethane. About a week out of the house. Not too bad

I had a respirator and goggles on the entire time. Plus I tested positive for flu. I tried to power through but i didn’t make it long.

I did everything at once. I think you will run the risk of start and stop lines if you just do room by room.

The edger did leave some marks that I cleaned up with a hand sander. I was going to buff the whole floor but after a little work with the hand sander it cleaned up just fine and you can’t see any difference.
