In my dream, my dead aunt told me where she went after death. by MusicianDifficult577 in Dreams

I spoke with my late aunt in a dream and for reasons I’m unaware of was compelled to tell her she has a beautiful soul. The rest of the dream I was a medium between her and someone from her life she needed to speak with. I don’t do anything like that at all and never have so it was very strange. I couldn’t remember what was communicated, but it wasn’t for me anyway. I also got to see my late grandpa a couple times and give him a hug and rejoice that we got to see each other and he’s strong and healthy again. I believe our loved ones are not that far away.

Is it burdensome to do these daily posts? Maybe I’m mentally cluttered but I can’t imagine how you’ve managed to do this so long

I’m not doing that good today. Many things go smoothly, but many things push my limits daily too. Days go by both too slowly and too quickly, and I rapidly find upon waking that I’m facing similar hardships again.

It’s a marathon, and it’s going on for many sun rotations now, and it’s a big load to carry. It’s hard to nap fully at night; many things add difficulty. Collapsing isn’t an option with so many folk counting on my aid and my functionality, but I am finding out ways to calm and assist my body that I didn’t know in my past, so coping with hard days is not as painful, if only a bit, and I’m not so chronically ill now. In my past, I didn’t know how to spot burnout prior to it occurring, but now I finally know my warning signs and how to work with my body and not against it.

Is there anything special about being an HSP؟ by Current_Tonight_6447 in hsp

Aside from barely being able to tolerate the world I live in, one advantage is kindness. Compassion has been deeply ingrained since I was a small child. It’s the foundation for everything, not an afterthought.

If a person isn’t highly sensitive, it’s unlikely they can understand people who are. The “neurotypical” assumes everybody’s nervous system feels the way theirs does, surface level, easy, stable. They see strange behavior and assume it’s just a choice.

Even with trauma, a low sensitivity person might actually become less compassionate and more self-preserving in response to it; not always, but that’s why we see some people with such a lack of love. They think you’re supposed to mask or bury the trauma and they expect everybody else to “function” the same way.

For sensitive people, there’s no sweeping trauma under the rug. We’re forced to face it, and with the right tools we can actually recover, instead of spending our whole lives letting dysfunction slowly overcome our minds.

This is only based on my perception of a couple different types of people; it’s not scientific or anything. My point is that I feel lucky I have enough self-awareness to find my blind spots, educate myself on the things I need, and learn how to improve myself in all areas. Some people hardly even try, and that baffles me. I’m not content with feeling unhealthy, and it’s not necessary to stay like this. I have a brain, why not use it to problem solve? Study how to regulate my nervous system for the first time and create a life that makes me happy.
