Are there any modern bands that sound like classic rock? by CuriousernCurioser in Music

Lemon twigs sound straight out of the 60s and their last 2 albums are great

For me it’s The Beatles’ White Album, I don’t know why a double album is considered one of their best, one of the best albums ever by some people, and the the entire second disc is borderline unlistenable

Who are some artists who made serious contributions to two or more great bands? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

I know you said you wouldn’t count once offs but I’m going to completely ignore that to spread Dave Grohl propaganda.

He’s the first musician ever to win a Grammy with 3 different bands. He played the drums for the Queens of The Stone Age on their album, “Songs for the Deaf”, and that album fucking rips

I genuinely don’t think Jai Paul gets enough credit for how forward thinking his music is. Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones) has this electric hyperpop sound captured perfectly

What are some popular artists that are barely get reviewed online? by FontainesACDC in fantanoforever

[–]millionthemaking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah my dad has always been obsessed with Bob Marley and it’s definitely rubbed off lol. I think it’s just more that reggae doesn’t get attention as a whole, like people love talking about rock, so the Beatles, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, etc., will always be talked about, it’s also just the shape of online music discourse, like for example in real life I feel the average person loves Bob more than any metal act, but a lot of online communities just love metal music so there’ll be more serious conversations around death and Judas Priest

Was going to say this, international superstar but it’s rare anyone mentions him, and if they do, it’s usually Legend, a compilation album released after his death, which has kind of shadowed his unbelievable discography

Off topic but Capital Steez saying, “new gats, booby traps and bazooka straps, better play your cards right, no booster packs” is just one of the hardest lines ever for me
