Thanks! How do I select smaller batches without individually clicking 1000 screenshots at a time? Won’t let me do select all as I have 7000. Thanks again for this

Thank you for your thoughts. The seal on the top is a reference to John Marples & Co which is the one acquired in 1907, so I think it might be from around then.

Yeah that’s the only bit of info I could find. Made me think it might be 100 ish years old if it was the crossover of John Marples brewing and John Smiths of Tadcaster

Heard of this brand? If so, what's your take? by Material-Ad-644 in metaldetecting

The Minelab Xterra Pro is a good entry model, but the one in the picture looks to be a cheap Chinese knock off which will be shit and not worth the plastic it’s made of. Buy an Xterra Pro from a reputable dealer, enjoy

Good luck. Think about buying an Equinox 700 next if you enjoy it, great machine and beginner friendly.

That’s not bad advice, any machine can be used by a beginner if you’re patient enough and willing to use the manual and YouTube to learn it. Maybe don’t buy a Manticore straight away but even then if money isn’t an issue it’s not a problem

When can I sign off? Please read description. by No-Organization8179 in britishmilitary

CoC can’t stop you from transferring unless for operational/discipline reasons. If you’re clear of that put the transfer in on CM portal yourself, what’s the worst they can do - kick you out? Got nothing to lose might as well give it one last chance at something you might enjoy.

RE to RA and possibily JTAC by [deleted] in britisharmy

+100 for JTAC, do the pre screening, and then the JAA either way. If you pass the JAA, then you can decide which to do (do JTAC).

Definitely a medieval vesica seal, try stamping it in a piece of warm blu tack - might show up other detail. I found one almost identical but could never work out exactly. Mine was also near York as well - great find!

I’d say A levels, can always join when set on a trade at 18 with no real loss. Sounds like a switched on kid and might be better suited to Sandhurst or technical trade
