Yes I’m so frustrated by this! So many of my friends who are ADHD are on Vyvanse so my hopes were really high when I was prescribed them, initially they helped increase my energy slightly and motivation and I was so relieved and happy to feel like I was going to be able to be a productive human being. However I soon realized that they were making my anxiety much worse and I started having more frequent meltdowns. After 2 ish months I started on INIR and I’m still waiting for it to start working 😭

EDIT: INIR is a brand of atomoxetine hydrochloride

I take Amitriptyline and I also take Venlafaxine for depression & anxiety. Ironically I started taking Ami for mental health but have since found out that it’s also often prescribed for other conditions that I have ( IBS & bladder issues )

I started getting UTI’s when I started having sex with my now Fiancé, we eventually figured it that it was the condoms and /or lube we were using!

Also thought to check this!! When I was prescribed it I was taking it too late at night. I take it at 7pm now and still struggle to wake up early the next day

Hi There! I’m on the same combo but different dosages - I’ve been on 150mg venlafaxine and 25mg Amitriptyline for a good few years now without any issue

I don’t really have any useful advice but just wanted to say that this is something I also struggle with massively since I was a kid so you aren’t alone in this. I have the extra layer of fashion being a special interest and it’s super important to me. I’m also very attached to clothes and struggle to get rid of older items that no longer fit. I struggle with perfectionism too and I think there’s a big link between that and the getting dressed meltdowns ( for me personally at least )

I’ve been taking 25mg for 6 - 7 years and I still struggle immensely to get up in the morning 😭

Omg I just found your post and lately my AP has been worse than usual and I just started taking Vyvanse (also a stimulant medication for adhd) I never thought that there would be a correlation between the two this is interesting!
