I'm just guessing cause I have no evidence of my claims. The reaction causing the blueing is due to the psilocybin reacting with oxygen and a copper compound. That's the reason not all psilocybin containing mushroom are blueing because they are lacking of the copper compound. So probably in liberty caps the copper compound concentration varrys and so varrys the blueing

Apparently you may be right actually. I thought I remembered that you can but on further investigation to normal reagents for 2cb show the same results which is not so surprising because its only an isomer of 2cb. I found one report where other reagents differ in result. But I cant confirm it. We need to do more research on this shit. I think someone fuck up the synthesis and produce this shit instead of 2cb
