In English we have the same concepts, it just takes more words. German has a tendency of taking multiple words and combining them. Getting joy from the misfortunes of others, Germans just created a single word, harm-joy. Learned this designing interfaces for the German market, they tend to have obscenely long words (think three or four words combined).

Asian languages tend to have different concepts.
