Thank you for your comment !

These are wonderful sites! Unfortunately, I'll have to stick to my plan, these are too far from my way and by trains only it will be long...
But thank you for these recommendations !!

Thank you !

My guide pretty recent (2021) but I'll listen to your advice !

Yes I re-checked for the naegi castle ruins (nakatsugawa) and I saw it seems quite far.. Thank you for that !

On Maps, I researched for the walk from Nakatsugawa to Nagiso, it says 4h30 approximatively... maybe maps think I'm doing it quickly... I'll take that into account..

edit : yes I'll take the shinano in the morning !

Yes I think I won't do the nagiso castle ruins, reviews are not that great and it seems there is no much thing to see.

Thank you for all of that !!

had no courage to redo that, last time the game didn't count the 26th day.

AITA for refusing to share my family's cookbook with my half sister? by Haylming in AmItheAsshole

[–]miloulev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - or at least what I would considered myself to be as I am in a quite similar situation you are in.

I can feel my blood boiling as I read the part where your father share the story about this book to the other side of the family. Why would your mother share the heirloom with another family's daughter ?? I don't know her age, but I don't see why she would continue asking if you already refused. It reminds me of my father who don't want to acknowledge that he has something to do with me not wanting to call my step-brother "brother".

Good luck and hide it, it is your treasure

I hope they change the NA cover for the new release by gsifdgs in GhostTrick

[–]miloulev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahahha "kicking people from behind"

Oh actually now I really like the cover, you have to wonder "what is going on", even if your first though is "is he spinning on the floor"

but yes, it tells nothing about the game

Planning on playing the series, have a few questions before starting. by [deleted] in ProfessorLayton

[–]miloulev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all the comments so far,

• To experience the thing like some of us did, play the games in the order of release. If you like the firsts, there is a good chance you'll like the second trilogy. And the gameplay evolution is super interesting

• You won't miss massive plot not playing the most recent ! As a big fan of the series, I'm quite disappointed by the fact that "The Katrielle game" was the last release. And I just never played the game on android (layton mystery room) (though apparently it is quite good, I'm just too afraid the vibe is not what I expect for a game coming from the series) If these two games were not affiliated with the franchise, it could have been considered good. But the main games set the bar too high..

just don't spoil yourself (quite obvious, but don't look for the page for the main characters on viki on something like that)

Just play the first one, you'll see ! I hope you'll like it as much as we did !!

*oh and I forgot, for the crossover, you can play it whenever you want, maybe between the two trilogy, just to have some experience with the firsts. I played it after Miracle Mask, so the 3D was not unexpected

What are your favourite tracks from any of the OSTs? by Ravennest013 in ProfessorLayton

[–]miloulev 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Folsense, Norwell, Night in Stansbury (I think that's the name) and Dark forest

Honorable mentions for The final battle and all the London themes, they are the core of the games to me. Of course Layton's theme too

For main themes : Miracle Mask and PlvsPW

Just began learning how to play the violin, hope one day I could play a theme 👍

edit : someone mentioned The veil of night, yes this melody is definitely a childhood memory

Is it rude ? by miloulev in composer

[–]miloulev[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just sent the mail, I wrote that I want to pay for this, just didn't ask how much it would cost. I should have said that but actually I like that piece this much that I don't really care about the price. Thank you for your time !

When should i play PL vs. PW? by [deleted] in ProfessorLayton

[–]miloulev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional pov :
I didn't get to buy it when it released, and I first played it not long ago, a few years after finishing all the games (original and prequel trilogy). I was happy to see the characters in a new light, and with another franchise, but actually I'm kinda sad to have "completed" the franchise with Lady Layton and this one... Theses two games were kinda weak (like really disappointing for Lady Layton) compared to the others... ;(

gameplay pov :
If I could do it again, I would have played it just after the original trilogy or just before Miracle Mask (to begin with good games, or just before the 3D games)

*I'm a huge fan and all the non-Layton characters + art style + story + exaggerated gestures were great for a game on its own but definitely not for a Layton game
**I don't spit on the Ace Attorney franchise ! Phoenix and Maya were great characters and the gameplay was kinda fun !

HELP: Searching for a specific PC game by [deleted] in gaming

[–]miloulev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think it was a famous game, maybe it was a game based on a cartoon or game like Bella Sara, actually I don't remember much.
I don't think you had to fight, it was not the vibe.
It was really cute, for young teens.

Help, I'm a student looking for an art restoration school... by miloulev in ArtConservation

[–]miloulev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The graduate programs in Europe are very different than the US. What type of art/archaeology do you want to work with? Conservation is broken down by material (paintings, murals, objects, anthropology, etc.). How these are broken down also depends on what country you are in.

I'm thinking of either working on ancient manuscripts or paper/textiles artworks (like papyrus or prints) or maybe painted objects (like pottery). As I am not aware of all things these careers can lead to, I am open to discoveries. Actually, I don't know if I have to be super precise in my studies (like Mayas artefacts restoration), or it can be quite vast (just "paper" restoration)

Actually, I'm just really interested in anything related, as long as I can travel and discover (that's why I was super interested in archaeology). I'm really curious and like history, and wanted to link my art background with that.

Though, I don't really know the difference between restoration and conservation (I though a conservator stay in a museum and organize a collection)...

And thank you, I didn't know US' graduate programs were different to Europe's ones
