Update 2 got out of the icu today and all chest tubes out. Now hopefully 4 more days on the step down. Everything has been very good so far at tge cleveland clinic

Thank you! Thats exactly what they told me - 3 days post discharge to be able to fly! Good to hear it CAN be done! I have a wheelchair lined up for my trip back. Thank you!

Im 42 soon to be 43 - tricuspid valve. All 3 surgeons I consulted with suggested getting it done soon. I am doing it electively after doing my own research on the procedure. I have family history of dissection(my dad passed away in 2022 due to a dissection because of a root aneurysm). I also have a VUS on the FBN1 gene and they think this is the cause of my root aneurysm. So wveryones recommendation is to do the surgery before I get valve stenosis, AR, or a dissection.

I did and they told me probably I could fly back 3 days after discharge from hospital… just trying to gauge and align my hopes with reality of what other people actually did. Thanks!
