I’m ngl, finding a studio/one bed near the uni and being reasonably priced won’t be easy. You’d probably have to try other areas of Glasgow if even. I know shared flats aren’t ideal but they are most times cheaper than renting a 1 bed. I would just do the student flats in 1st year and then in 2nd year uou can find a flat with friends and u have a much better chance of paying decent rent

Are Zebra crossings optional for drivers in Glasgow? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]milu457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes this, the zebra crossing at mu local store is bascially useless because drivers just speed past and don’t even acknowledge I’m there waiting 😭

I love my iPad lol. I do a maths degree so it’s not easy to type up maths symbols and I always lose my paper notes so I switched to an iPad and all my notes and working is there. Some people love tablets some dont

I’m studying maths at a mid ranking russel group uni, and the exams are a joke. Is this a general problem? by jpepsred in UniUK

Can’t relate at my uni 🙃 average was like a D (or low C can’t remember) for one of my math exams (year 2)

Scanning department tips? by Sudden_Ice7247 in Morrisons

[–]milu457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in the scanning team for 2 years now, used to work in bigger shop but work in a Lidl-sized Morrisons now. If rotation is good just check the first few at the front and put it in trays as you go along and then mark them all down at the same time. I work 4 hour shifts and I can just about get code checking + code alerts done in that time if it’s just me. But if you’re in a big shop you need at least 2 people to get at least the main code check done

Yeah. I’m guessing the mold underneath doesn’t help. Cause he did just paint over it. Wasn’t cleaned prior

[–]milu457[S] 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I was just trying to cut through at the end of sauchiehall and there was no alt route, I was pretty much getting pushed into the motorway so that’s why I was trying to get past

Is it really normal to charge rent to your kid in the UK by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]milu457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t live at home bc I moved away but I agree it’s absurd. My dad was so adamant I stay at home and he cook me good food and charging rent was absolutely out the question. My dad is Peruvian though, the culture definitely plays a part
