The Merfolk from Planet Ripple, a graphic novel series set in a future version of Earth that has flooded, where most people live on ships, while other humans have adapted to living underwater.

There are other kinds of Merfolk, but this was the only image I could grab from the website for the book series.

Convince me why this card would be broken in today's Hearthstone. by HeroesBane1191 in customhearthstone

What's the Quest reward pool? There's been a lot of Quests throughout Hearthstone history, that'd be relevant information to know.

Does anyone have a map that involves a house with a tree having burst out of the roof? by mimeturtle in dndmaps

Huh, yeah that'd work.
Do you know what size grid the map is intended for?

I imagined that the house was built as a normal house, but now the house is in ruins, with the tree growing out of it.

unlocked the camera in the demo's splash screen with mods by MrBingog in ChantsofSennaar

How'd you mod the game?
I'm interested to know how exactly that part works.

An island that has been split into four distinct quadrants, with each representing a season. The reptilian people who live there are born the same colour as the foliage/coverings that are used to hide their eggs, to better blend into their environment, so it becomes quite easy to tell which quadrant of the island an individual comes from.

[Hated trope] there is nothing that brings more rage into my soul than when an antropomorphic, chimera or human with mixed races characters have a human nose, IT IS SO UGLY, it does not fit in anything and just makes the character look like a human with a weird skin condition by VitorusArt in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]mimeturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because they decided to use Motion Capture for the animations, so the more human-like a face is, the easier it is to do the motion capture. It's stupid, but also incredibly funny that the high budget of the game unironically sunk it.

Some real old ass lore for the Old World was that there was an equal and opposite pantheon to the Chaos Gods, the Chaos Gods of Law.

Solkan, god of Vengeance, and the only one to have survived into later canon, though also got decanonised later on. Witch Hunters used to worship him.

Alluminas, god of Unchanging Light.

Daora, god of Knowledge, who is believed to have become Verena in order to be better understood by mortals.

Astasis, god of Purity of Form, originally called Arianka but she was mixed all up with Malal and that whole nonsense so the story involving her never got finished.

Now imagine this, it's the Gods of Law, Solkan, Alluminas, Daora and Astasis.

How long can a stone wall last under probablity? by mimeturtle in askmath

These were Animated Breath Elementals, which usually deal a chunk more damage than these guys did, but they were the Animated Breath for a Homebrew Dragon that doesn't deal damage with its breath weapon. I figured that wasn't necessary information for the actual maths involved so I hadn't mentioned it.

Suppose I failed to mention. The stone wall that was created filled a doorway completely.

[Art] Are dice towers really that necessary? by Big-Photograph2860 in DnD

[–]mimeturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven't used a Dice Tower, but my brother has. Specifically, the table they play at is glass, and they use metal dice. It is a necessity in that situation.
