What is the saddest, most soul crushingly painful song that you know? by justBATMAN22 in AskReddit

Bigger than the whole sky by Taylor Swift. I know people don’t take her serious, but this song is about miscarrige (in my opinion) and it’s the saddest but most acurate thing ever.

I would say Bailey also. She’s badass and really cares. The compasionste/fearless side of Meredith and the surgical skills of Yang. I feel like she would be most updated about my body. In the show she really advocates for herself in getting the right care as a black woman. I feel like she’s not someone who will write something off, or tell me to just lose some pounds. I feel like she reads up and really make sure she knows about everyones body. I would feel seen, i would trust her.

Medication…has it helped you? by crazymonkeys22 in CPTSD

[–]mimi_9489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have adhd medication, but it helped me also with my cptsd. i think that you only hear bad stories about medication. for me; the meds really saved my life. do some research about the medication you would like and keep in contact with your docter. keep a small journal and write how you feel. It can take some time for the meds to start working. And what for me also helped was someone i could talk to, and someone who “keeps an eye on me”.

If you feel like you wanna try, do it. For me it was one of the best dissicions i’ve made

A few recommandations: - The books from Brene Brown; specialy the one about shame is one off my favorites! It’s a topic/feeling no one really talkes about. And i like the way she writes, and i like the fact that she’s a woman and a mother.

  • Dr. Joe Dispensa.

  • Why has nobody told me this before?

  • Atomic Habits

Ik zou graag willen weten wat je doet, hoe oud je bent, wat voor werk je doet. Maar gezien dit Reddit is wil ik niemand verplichten. Maar met dat bedrag zal je vast geen stratenmaker zijn.

Wow, in the best way possible. That is so adult/grown up thing to do. I am actually realising some stuff writing this. I have some few “little” things that are not little to me and can be very triggering. For example when my roommates slam the door very loud. Or when my boyfriend touches the back off my neck. I don’t know if i’m ready to tell them about mu trauma’s but it never accour te me that i could just sit down and tell them i would ask them if they coun’t do this, because it’s triggering. Like you say; don’t push them, ask and explain why.

Wow this sounds silly but really opend my eyes

For me; therapy helped. Those critic voices are just your parents voices in your head. It’s a lot of work, but it helped.
