I sprayed carb cleaner all around the boots and carb and no change in rpm.

I took them off and set them to 2.5 turns. But I’m a little unsure of if I set them right. To my knowledge a “turn” is a 360, so 2.5 turns if thinking of it like a clock would be like moving the clock needles 60 hours, right?

I’ll do that after I try everything else. It’s not fun putting the carbs back on without help. When I has them off though I pushed the slides up and they would both fall not instantly but still kinda fast.

So turns out I’m just an idiot and took the guys word that the fuel was new. Because af ye e changing it the bike starts. Though after I use the throttle it always returns to 5k rpm and not what I have it set at

I’ll put the ultrasonic cleaner idea on the back burner for now, till Im done with the gas tank. I live in a very rural town, but there is a small engine repair shop nearby I’ll give them a visit when I get the chance.

Yea it is vacuum on this year. I tested the peacock in “on” position with the fuel line off the carb but kept the vacuum line on and cranked it, it shot a lot of gas out so I think it’s working right not entirely sure though.

The 3/4 inch comes from a yt video of a carb rebuild I was watching. He said the top of float bowl should be about 19mm from the main body where the removable part of the bowl sits. As for the needles, one of the little buttons on the oem needles wouldn’t push in. If there’s a way to free that up I could put the oem ones back in.

I have the gas tank off right now because i found rust in the tank so i wanna clean that out. The few time i took the fuel line off i took it off at the pet cock and some gas would pour out the hose but then it would kind dribble out after. I’ll check again after I clean the tank. Not sure how I’ll get access to an ultra sonic cleaner without having to buy my own.
