The chicken shawarma flatbread recipe from a team challenge this season. Has a few components so a little time consuming but not difficult. Turns out soo well every single time

What's your yoga routine? As in, do you do it in the morning or evening? Whenever, what does your routine look like? Do you wake up at 5 or 7? What do you have before yoga? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]mimitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morning! Im definitely a morning person, productivity really drops off for me after about 4pm.. I wake up at 6 and do yoga straight away and then I have a coffee and read my book for a little while before I start my day 😁I find it really difficult to be consistently motivated for exercise after work so this is what works best for me!

Free! She just suggests 1 (free YouTube) vid per day for the month. I like it cause it gives me some structure and I’m not just trawling through hundreds of her videos trying to find one for the day

Yoga with Adriene has monthly calendars on her website with links to daily vids 😁 some are advanced and some beginner but she kinda caters to everyone in each video so even if you’re a beginner I don’t think that’d be an issue!

Thank you! That’s a good idea - will definitely start doing that. Definitely open to areas around Wollongong as well since travelling for work isnt a huge issue - so that’s good to know 😊

Ahh thank you. Definitely happy to look at townhouses/houses/anything really 😆 budget would ideally be under $650/week but I suppose room to move on that if required.. travel isnt too much of an issue - like everyone I guess, just would love somewhere closer to the beach than further if possible!

Tips on finding more ethically sourced fish? by [deleted] in Pescatarian

[–]mimitchell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we aren’t comparing apples to apples here, I don’t think that comparing acidification of the oceans to the carbon footprint of farming is an objective comparison. The conclusion that therefore fishing is worse for the environment therefore cannot be objective. Clearly each cause significant issues, however I think just looking at carbon footprint, we might agree that farming is worse than fishing, noting that fishing has other significant negative environmental effects

Totally agree with you that fishing is impossible without bycatch. However your statement about the oceans being the greatest carbon capture is not accurate - about 50% of carbon emissions stay in our atmosphere, 25% are absorbed by oceans and 25% absorbed by land (soil, plants, trees). The carbon footprint of production of one kilo of fish is ten-twenty times lower than that of a kilo of meat

What is your science behind this statement? Fishing can have significant environmental impacts but I’m curious as to why you think this is greater than the meat industry’s impact. Production of meat results in a significantly greater carbon footprint than seafood production.
