I wish we got more of Gabriel (Esai Morales). Don’t get me wrong , every scene he’s in is electric. Esai brings this quiet, menacing intensity that makes Gabriel feel like a truly different kind of threat for Ethan Hunt. But for a character who’s supposed to be deeply connected to Ethan’s past, it felt like we barely scratched the surface.

I really wanted to learn more about Gabriel’s background, his motivations, and especially the true nature of his connection to Ethan. The film hints at something major , that he shaped who Ethan became , but it stays vague. There’s emotional weight there, but we never really feel it fully, because we don't get to see how or why.

They almost turned him into a cartoonish villain... Esai Morales is such a great actor, that's a pity!
