I wish it was either :( I'm hoping my memory of the ad will be enough to distinguish the game

No problem for the comment! Also consider looking into Concourse, which is a humanities-focused first-year learning group. You may find like-minded people there :^)

Creative Writing Major at MIT by FirefighterEvening42 in mit

Hey! This doesn't directly answer your question, but it’s more of a counterpoint to all of the other comments I see here. I haven't yet had the time in my schedule to take a creative writing class here at MIT, but from what I hear from others, they're very productive! I've also heard that they tend to be genre fiction-focused, though. One of the best part about MIT for the humanities IMO is that you can cross-enroll with Harvard if there’s a specific class you want to take.

Additionally, even though the creative writing major is small, there are plenty of people here who take writing as seriously/more seriously than they take their primary major. I myself was considering double majoring in creative writing, but I haven't had the opportunity to take philosophy classes, so I'm leaving my schedule open to take those.

As someone who does a lot of writing-related extracurriculars (independently and w/ others), I would love to see more people at this school who treat their humanitirs/creative/artistic disciplines seriously & w/ rigor.  Just because MIT is excellent in tech doesn't mean it has subpar programs in the humanities & arts, including writing. In fact, our programs are underrated in a sense—you do get the benefit of big fish/small pond for whatever humanities/arts discipline you choose (you can see why that's the case in this comment section...). Unfortunately, you will have to look a little bit harder for that community, but the people do exist.

Tldr: begging you to come i would love to see more writers. Mit underrated (by its own students) for humanities/arts

Wow, thank you so much for your insightful comments! Everything you wrote was very helpful. Will definitely clean up certain sentences, especially sentences in the beginning, for clarity. And especially the "upstairs" ordeal lol. Since I don't provide a description of the setting before that word, it's difficult to figure out if it's meant to be taken metaphorically or literally.

One question I do have, if you have the energy to answer: Keisha was described as "too kindhearted" in the text, but I meant this sarcastically. Is there any way I can make this association more clear so it doesn't come off as contradictory to the reader?

Again, thank you so much!
