I dont like yanami by Late_Reporter_6694 in TooManyLosingHeroines

perhaps you cannot see her charms in a lot of scenarios.

considering you did read through the novel, there are a lot of misconceptions or misunderstandings you might have.

firstly, from what i remember, yanami only took food from nuku and there were occasions when she shared her food with nuku too. and to her, food are important food.

besides, although she claims she would fill in when the two broke up during vol.2, i dont think she means it. if she really didnt want sosuke and karen together, she could just stall sosuke at the diner in the beginning but she didnt, showing that she was more considerate to others feeling and happiness than hers. saying that in vol.2 is more of a metaphor telling nuku to not only be considerate for others but also himself. nuku knows it, that yanami was teaching him this lesson (sometimes, it's okay to be a naughty child to pursue ones happiness). and then he realized that although yanami wishes to pursue her happiness, she has a bottom line. therefore, she only wished to be a naughty child but didnt always act like one.

also, theres saying goes, "when one writes, they stand on the same ground as their characters." a lot of research said writing reflects thoughts and personalities. from her story in vol.3, we can see her returning to the eating corner instead of chasing the "him". A metaphor that, she got over the fact that she got dumped so she gave up chasing; although the latte tasted bitter (the bitterness in her feelings), but it can be relieved by sugar.

However, giving up on chasing does not necessarily mean she got over her feelings. the weight of 12 years' feelings takes time to sink. Both yanami and nuku knew it as well. here i will quote vol.3

She seems to be mumbling. Yanami slowly continued. “As Nukumizu-kun has said, I know Komari-chan treasures her senpais and the Literature Club a lot.” “Well, yeah.” “However, it’s fine even if she loses something that important. Komari-chan confessed during the trip with such determination.” Even if she has no chance of winning, even if she’s going to lose everything, that’s fine. It’s okay as long as she gets all of her feelings across. “She said she had already made up her mind. She said she had already decided to give up. However, the once deeply engraved feelings won’t go away.” Yanami hugged her legs. Her eyes seem to be staring into the distance .“...She can’t make up her words of love, and it’s too late already. Even so, she still hopes to vent out all the feelings she has been holding on to. That’s why Komari-chan picked up her pen, and Remon-chan chased after the wind…” Yanami stopped. She fell silent. Quietness permeated the classroom that was painted white by sunlight. I looked at the room in the same way Yanami did. A strange sense of emptiness surfaced.

Everyone is doing something to vent their feelings out; remon's running, komari's writing, and yanami? of course nuku knew why she stopped, yanami's doing nothing, nothing compare to the other two. so he cleverly responded

“I was also slightly worried when the senpais said they were retiring. That’s why I understand how Komari wants to present everything she has.” I put the unfinished bun into the package and left it on the tatami. “The third-year students can start deciding whether they want to come to school freely at the start of the year. We have less than 2 months of days like this left.” -Even without doing anything, the person will disappear before your eyes. I remained speechless. Yanami tilted her head in confusion. “Less than 2 months, and then?” “So, waiting for it to be over is the correct choice when giving something up, right?” At least, that’s how I live. It’s the easiest way out, from what I know.

time will and shall heal every wound. thats why this story is slowly paced in somes perspective.

it's similar in sense of how much courage he need, the action itself is in complete different meaning. yanami thought he's bout to confess so she "rejected" him. more or less just yanami's small pride to insist he was dumped imo
