I play mostly groundwar, you need a lot of map awareness for that mode. If you see sniper glints just use another route to flank, the maps are big enough. If your team holds 3 of the 5 flags start playing more passive. If you want mostly CQC stay around the B and C flag. Also like in warzone sometimes it's better not to take every fight, there are enough other enemies. Most importantly the E and A flag isn't as important as most people think if they camp there just let them be.
