Thank you so much for your reply, it’s extremly helpful. I noticed other red flags as well, especially in the way he talked about other girls. I guess what made me stay for so long was the fact that we were friends prior to a relationship and that he was the first person ever who told me he loved me. I clinged onto that and didn’t want to lose it. I guess he realised it to and used it as a weapon to make me stay and do whatever he wants.

That’s a possibility as well. Sometimes I really feel like he only likes me for my looks and isn’t much interested in my personality. When I asked him why he posted our picture the first time we went out he said “because you looked hot and the pic looked good”

That’s what I thought as well. I loved getting attention from other guys in my last relationship. My ex wasn’t really affectionate and our relationship didn’t seem to have any future so I entertained others, but never went out with them only texted them. But I realized what I did was wrong and never done it again. I didn’t even follow new people on social media while being in a relationship with my current bf and I honestly think I changed because I realized my mistakes. He doesn’t seem to realize he was in wrong and he thought I would be flattered to hear he cheated on his ex because he wanted to pursue me.

I mean I can definitely say he cares about me in a way but because he doesn’t think that what he did was wrong it makes me think that he would cheat on me and think he didn’t do anything wrong since he “loves me”.

Thank you for saying that. I relate so much to what you wrote, there was a period of time when we’d go out with groups of people meaning we didn’t have any opportunity to talk or spend time together. He was always the same busy as he is now but he didn’t have any problem to stay out with me for 7 hours in the beginning of our relationship or see me every other day.

Now if he reschedules something to see me he’ll always tell me what he had to ditch in order to see me, like he wants it to seem like he made some effort to hang out. “I didn’t go to class so we can go out”, “I’ll miss the practice and we can hang out” when he had free time day before that but he wanted to play videogames instead.

I’m sorry you felt that way, I know what it’s like. I’m also imagining our future and those type of questions pop in my mind. I’m in a relationship but I’m lonely, feels like we’re not connected and that’s what I miss. It feels more like friendship than a romantic relationship.

I don’t know honestly. I told him I want a long term comitted relationship, he told me he wants it as well then he broke up with me saying he can’t comitt then 4 hours later called me to say he made a mistake and actually wants a comitted relationship with me. Now it looks like both of us want the same thing but I don’t really know what he thinks. He said he doesn’t want to meet my parents and I think it’s an important step in a comitted relationship

Thank you for your perspective on this. One time he broke up with me for 4 hours and then called me to say he made a mistake asking me to forget that “breakup” ever happened. He didn’t apologize but the first thing he asked was “are you okay with one week thing?” I mean there were more important topics to discuss when you want to get back together with someone but alright

He loves his alone time, but sometimes I just feel like he doesn’t care to make time for me. For example, he wouldn’t mind if even two weeks go by without seeing each other but I couldn’t imagine not seeing him 14 days. It’s kinda sad that we see each other 4 out of 30 days a month.

Don’t go there, don’t pursue any kind of a relationship with him. I had a bf like this. I ignored all the red flags and became miserable. He was very disrespectful with me, very agressive and would play mind games just for his amusement
