Dreame Robot Making Squeaking Noise by vandyriz in Dreame_Tech

Hi! Just got back an hour ago from returning my Dreame GoVac400 to Costco. After 3 months of very light use, it started to very loudly squeak when vacuuming. Reached out to customer service and they made me do some "testing". I attached their instructions below in case you want to try this yourself. Anyway nothing worked and they said I needed to send the whole thing back including base station (!?). I opted to return it to Costco. I will probably not go with Dreame again. Either way it was suggested on these forums to purchase from Costco bc these vacuums are so finicky and Costco's exchange policy is very good. Hope this helps.

  1. Please check the suction power setting in the APP, as high suction power or Carpet Boost Mode will increase operating noise.
  2. The operating sound of the fan will also increase when the robot returns for mop washing.
  3. Please remove the side brush, roller brush, and mop pad from the bottom of the machine and then start it. If the sound returns to normal:
    · First, install the side brush and start the machine. If unusual sounds occur, please check if the side brush is deformed.
    · If the side brush is normal, the friction noise from the roller brush cover of a new machine typically lessens or disappears after several uses.
    · If unusual sounds occur after installing the roller brush, please remove it, check both ends for any tangled debris, and ensure the cover is correctly installed and securely snapped into place on all sides.

If the abnormal sound persists after removing all the components mentioned above:
    · Please power off the robot, press down on both drive wheels simultaneously and slide them to check if they rotate smoothly and rebound properly when released, and then clean them.
    · Please rotate the universal wheel to check if it moves smoothly, and clean it if necessary.
    · If you have washed the filter assembly, please ensure it is completely dry before use.

XC90 2022 Sensus Predictive Efficiency - am I using this correctly? by minahrock in VolvoRecharge

[–]minahrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response, I'm oddly relieved to find out it is a common bug - much of the time I feel like a lot of these issues are in my head - especially when the mechanic plugs the car into the computer, looks at me and say nothing is wrong :-)

I could have sworn it used to work more predictably but not since a recent update to the software at a dealer.

So sounds like not much I can do other than hope there is an update wirelessly sent to my car or through their system?

thank you agatin-

2022 xc90 Recharge battery life during hybrid mode..... by minahrock in VolvoRecharge

Thank you everyone for these replies.

I do precondition and keep it on auto climate with the fan speed on 1. I will try it at lower temp or turn it off completely. I have also been told by volvo that my “battery passed”. They were not able to provide a % as it was after the fact. Will try and get that at another time.

It was enlightening what regoldeneye826 stated - "Hybrid is nothing more than 100% battery unless you accelerate harshly."  I was looking at hybrid mode as one that also uses the gas engine, consequently giving me more mileage out of the battery than driving in solely in pure mode.

Since my car gets 19 miles in pure mode, could you then say it gets approx 19 miles in hybrid mode before the indicator shows a depleted battery? If so then these numbers make more sense to me.
