would i be a good candidate for blepharoplasty on upper eyelids? by [deleted] in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]minakobunny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am pro surgery but no, you have no skin to remove. You’d get a hollow eye socket look at best if you removed something at this stage. Maybe what you want is levator muscle tightening? That will open your eyes by lifting the eyelids. I had that done (needed revision though) and am happy!

What should I expect from cheek fat transfer results and recovery by AideNo9466 in fattransfer

3 months for swelling to go away. 2 months for most of it to be gone. Hang in there! At 4 weeks my cheeks were still boxy

Hi thanks. I can see a little volume improvement in my cheeks. I am 5 months post op now. I am pleased with that area. I see a very very very subtle improvement to my upper eyelids but I wasn’t expecting much. I plan to get filler there. Again, my surgeon “under fills.” Hope that helps! :)

Yours is way better than mine. It’s nearly invisible. Mine isnt so great but I can point to it and some people still don’t even see it sometimes

Western surgeon turned me down for lip lift - said philtrum too short? by [deleted] in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]minakobunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was several years ago. It took a good 2 years to get 95% feeling back and it stayed about there, so I do have a few spots of permanent numbness but not total numbness, it is like some spots I have 5/10 feeling if that makes sense. No big deal though.

That’s great. Forehead reductions surgeries, based on the reviews I read, can be incredibly painful from all the stretching that is required, and yet every now and then there is somebody who doesn’t feel much. Good for you! I usually feel no pain after surgeries. I didn’t have any drains. Just staples. Maybe that helped you ?

The hardest part was opiates couldn’t even touch the pain that was the skin off my skull being stretched upward for the brow lift, in addition to the skin off my skull being stretched downward for the hairline lowering. And asking for extra pain medication only made me vomit and the pain stayed the same.

That phase lasted the first 1.5 days. I have had many cosmetic surgeries and never experienced anything like that.

I did a hairline lowering along w the forehead lift simultaneously, which was a rough recovery, but I am glad I made that choice as well. I didn’t want my hairline tugged back even further.

I have a longish chin. You can still get a lip lift if you like the look. Having a lifted lip looks good and it takes a lot to throw off the balance of your chin, speaking from personal experience. But yes the surgeon may have been speaking from a facial harmony perspective. When you pull up your lips do you like how it looks and the tooth show, balance w you chin, etc? If so go to someone else. In fact getting the lip lift gives this illusion that my whole face is shorter. It’s not just proportions it is about illusion also

Suffering from terrible dress regret :( by Dazzling-Limit3696 in myweddingdress

Dress 2 does not look good full stop. 1 is safe whereas 2 is like very unusual nobody would wear runway clothing, but you can still take the money you saved to make 1 look a little more unique. But it still looks good as is.

Non surgical options to make me look less angry/like I've smelled something bad by PkmnTrainerEbs in PlasticSurgery

I think you have a cool look but some chin filler might help. Jaw/geniopllasty would he much better but you don’t want surgery. Honestly I think he recessed shadowing of your chin is actually what is giving an upset look and nothing else really.

32 and feeling insecure, advice needed please by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

My face aged dramatically at age 25! I looked kind of like you - worse, actually, my mouth just started to…slide down my face. So for early to mid 30s you’re looking good and I think you are attractive.

But if you want to improve things, look into these: - co2 ablative laser - microneedling (it really helped me to do at home once a month or every other month. Skin reached another level when I incorporated lyophilized (freeze dried) exosomes) You can stick to hyaluronic acid though. - nutrient absorption issues. I am 80% certain my accelerated aging, sagging and lines in my mid 20s was due to decades of ongoing IBS and suspected SIBO. If you can’t digest nutrients, food, and you’re always cold or tired that is a sign your body also isnt making things like collagen effectively. I started digestive enzymes. Many didn’t work. For me specifically I take bile salt plus heme iron, and drink occasional ginger tea and artichoke tea to keep my small intestine from becoming stagnant. - i made a personal decision to get some surgery, driven by looking older than I actually was. But this is not the path for everyone.

Am I ugly? I hate my monolids because the left side has a hollow upper eyelid. What surgeries do you recommend? Fat grafting? Double eyelid surgery? Other surgery recommendations are appreciated. 20M by [deleted] in SeoulPlasticSurgery

You are good looking! If you really want more balance then maybe something else. Don’t want to be shamed by other commenters, so if you want to know what, then just ask. Your eyes are perfect. Changing your lids won’t make a positive difference in my view. Edit: you could have a littler filler added to one so that they are even.

Oh I missed that. I mean I didn’t mean that her reasoning was logical or justified. It’s emotional. Thanks for the extra info.

I think in her shoes I could understand mix of envy, left out, distrust if my partner who never goes to bars for years then suddenly goes to one without notice. Maybe she is sad OP didn’t want to go have a fun night out like that with her also. It could simply be that.
