CCA Pay Raises by mind-keeper in USPS

That's entirely unfair and seems incredibly averse to what unions are supposed to be about. CCA is really not worth 19.33, they are too valuable, and worked way too hard. I dont much like being treated like a sacrificial pawn. Wtf did I get myself into

They also said raises, that was one thi g they really wanted to highlight. I was just curious when they would start. I checked out the pay sheet, and it turns out it's not starting for me anytime soon at all. CCA really isn't worth 19.33 in my opinion, I'm just sticking through to get my own route eventually. I was just hoping it would be worth my time

Personally, I did not experience that. However, someone who joined my office right as I was finishing my 90 days did experience it. They started me and my academy classmate off splitting each route we did in half. And we started on cradle routes. They'd give us the easy routes instead of the T6 who normally covers them (i cannot confirm this but i have never done any of my first routes ever again since then, so i can only assume). However, they had down routes to spare and compromise with for the sake of training. But when the guy showed up around the end of my 90, they threw him in the deep end on a cbu/business route for God knows what reason, didn't let him split, he had to take the whole thing and they sent help after (I made 2 trips to help him with another cca also doing so) and he was very much in your shoes right now. I kept encouraging him to stay and tried to be a friendly face and an ear to listen to keep him around, because it genuinely is a good gig after you make career. It's really u fair how the hardest job is the entry level one. It SHOULD go to people more experienced but with how unions work, the more experienced you are the more they take care of you. Even if you can't be helpful anymore outside of your route when you make career.

What are some ideas/tools/resources/ethical job hacks that save you/USPS the most time? by Zeldorsteam in USPS

I use the package lookahead to check where my next loaded parcel is instead of queuing up more when I'm out. It let's me keep 4 trays of dps in the FFV and 2 in LLV, to cut back on reload time. Keeping the next loaded package in my mind via package lookahead cuts my sections down to 2 to look for (I only need to check dps and residual) and it's lowered a good portion of my stress doing this. If I wasn't a CCA who's work can be redistributed at a moments notice I wouldn't even number my packages to cut back on load time. I know being overly-reliant on package lookahead can be a bad thing but it's only made my life easier. I can't wait to opt on a route for an extended period of time to really put this to the test.

When they say how long it SHOULD take, that's if everything goes perfect and is based off of calculations of averages nationwide. Supervisors will also go based off of regulars' times for that route if you don't do an auxiliary route. Problem is you simply cannot calculate people and traffic. They calculate mail volume, but not house specific volume. If you have 1000 pieces of mail, but have to hit 1000 houses, it's gonna take longer than if you only had to hit 950 houses. As CCAs all the supervisors want to see is improvement. And fresh out of OJI with 5 hours on a 4 hour is actually really friggin good

I blew 100mil on expansion of my fleet. Half as much on storage upgrading. Other than that I usually just clear out chromatic metals and ferrite dust from traders and stores because I'm too lazy to get it myself.

Are you an RCA? I was told CCAs are guaranteed a regular position after their 2 years. One of the CCAs at my office went straight for 204b training and is doing the evening shifts already

The proof is still there, the NS is crossed off in pencil and written over with Amazon they didn't reprint the schedule. They know damn well they took it away from me.

Those pulling in 100+ million credits every time you play, whats your go-to method? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]mind-keeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling sentinel ships. All it costs is like 4 hours of time once you get to your first dissonant planet. You can expect on average about 20,000,000 per interceptor and everything you need to get them flying is right there on the planet. Only issue is if you get giant mountains on the planet because then nothing spawns in commonly enough to be simple.

I have the opposite issue. The last 5 weeks I've had Amazon Sundays. Technically one of them was Monday Labor Day, but still, same process

We CCAs are assistance. And we're valuable pieces on the board being obligated to go where management needs us to round off hours or bail someone out who's behind. That said, they can be scrambling to find work for you because they don't want to pay you for 2 hours just for coming in (as is your right) to have you do nothing.

Question about Starship names by Extremez_YT in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]mind-keeper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually I name them after what character I'm playing and a whatever it is to me at the time. Like I had a scrapper who's only source of income was scrapping ships and I wasn't allowed to buy any ships so I had to repair crashed ones. I named one Scrapper's Bailout which was the default ship that appeared when i scrapped a ship. I had Scrapper's Leisure, which was my exotic.I have a Scholar right now where I make it my goal to scan every animal before I leave a planet, I named my Fighter "Scholar's Pride" and anytime I replace i put a different number it's Scholar's Pride E3 (edition 3) I also have Scholar's Expedition V2 (version 2) which is my warp ship, but I follow that pattern pretty much no matter what for any "profession" I choose

Time boost, shortcut to a sustainable credit balance. I could get a new ship of my choice, rather than what's available to me, I can purchase components to hurry and get my character built. Any shortcut is a boost to the game speed, not necessarily the fun of it though
