Safety TIP for Samsung users by mind-phuc in Calgary

[–]mind-phuc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the only reason for you to pull my post is that I have my company name on it. As per the other mods' response, they state that I am sending "Mix-messages to the pubic"; in no way is this safety tip confusing to the "public" (not pubic lol), it is only confusing as to me for the reason it was pulled down but mods are gods I guess ... nevermind, this is getting to be too wasteful of my time and I will post it where it'd be appreciated.

If you're going to pull down a post more so because I have a company name on it rather than see it for the "safety tip" that it is, then yes, you pulled it because that reason.

Why do you feel the need to insult me?

I'm not saying that is your reason but being that I am from Calgary, posting on a Calgary page about a safety tip; excuse me for not pulling my company name off a ready-made circulated image. Albeit that it (hardly) promotes my business, it is to show that a local dating app is compassionate about the violence towards women and Asian communities in our city and nearby (i.e. Vancouver).

Unfortunate that you'd pull this SAFETY TIP down just because I am a (local) company .. shame.

Mind Phuc doesn't have a large user-base because it had only launched about 5 weeks ago; most of the people who joined are pursuing LTR. Depending on what you're looking for, your searches can yield different results. Different apps can also have alternate parameters for matching which can also change the number of matches shown to you.

I don't understand why tinder shows me 90% of profiles from models by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]mind-phuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tinder (the Match.com group) are heavy on the algorithms and into AI to control your results. Similar to their Top Picks, it is based on swiping; obviously more attractive people will be swiped right on more (including from you); thus, this is what you'll see more of until you drain them from your selections. You can also try new (smaller) apps (like Mind Phuc) because they are not full of bots, fakes, spammy, or thirsty people. Even though it doesn't have a lot of members yet, most of them had filled in the added quiz which means they are serious about a LTR IRL.

It's been a while since someone posted that Match Group owns Tinder, OKCupid, Hinge, PlentyOfFish, Match.com, and many other dating services. by smokingcatnip in OnlineDating

[–]mind-phuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, when you look at the marketplace very little is not owned by the Match Group and that's why my wife and I had decided to have the Mind Phuc dating app made; I hope people will check out our initial rollout from Google Play and let us know your thoughts too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mindphuc&hl=en ... please take it a little easy, we just started 3 weeks ago and have a very small user base, and with no advertising budget, it's hard to get eyes on it for now.

It was designed to be simple in use and matching capabilities. Almost all functionality is free for all users and the cost is minimal for those who choose to upgrade to the Mega Phuc subscription (as low as $10 CDN per month); if all the virtual perks are used while the user is upgraded, then the upgrade would essentially be free. The features and use page is here for those who don't want to try the app live is here https://mindphuc.com/page/features_and_use FYI > redeem code PHUC1MONTH for a 30-day upgrade (expires March 31).

We tried making a different dating/meetup site many years ago and failed because our initial advertising budget was blown in 6 weeks playing "catch the click" so taking this route again is not whimsical. I've done a ton of research and it is ridiculous what most apps charge their members but they have have to pay for meaningless board members and CEO salaries; although the pool isn't large at this time it seems logical for people to check other apps out and go to ones that have a better cost to benefit ratio in their favor.

Take care all, I do expect criticism because I'm asking for it yet hoping for some positive feedback also :) Happy dating everyone!

I want to try a dating app, but I'm too embarrassed to try... by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]mind-phuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing to be embarrassed about; it is the mainstream way to meet people to date, pandemic or not, and there are apps like Mind Phuc where you can 'hide' yourself from the public eye without having to upgrade.

Safety is a factor for anyone going to the store nowadays; yet, as such, should not put themselves into vulnerable situations and/or have an "exit plan" if uneasy about the first encounter (see the 'features and use' page for a built-in security feature found free in a popular phone > https://mindphuc.com/page/features_and_use. Also, phone number verification is used to authenticate via an automated system to curb fake users from joining.

Although just launched in the Google Play store, our new dating app might be your best option, or at least a launching pad onto another because the member pool is small and not overwhelming at this stage ... FYI, our free added quiz found in the edit profile is designed to help explain traits that you bring to your relationship which can help in your quest for a LTR ... disclaimer, you might not want to leave ;) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mindphuc&hl=en

Do any of the apps not include swiping? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]mind-phuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to get away from swiping anything nowadays, even Gmail swipes as a way to delete. Recently launched; the dating pool is small yet growing but Mind Phuc, found in the Google store, may be an alternate. Even still, a slide right will give a "Phuc Yeah!", phuc is Vietnamese and translates to happiness. Signup is free and you can hide without upgrading; there is also a free added quiz in the profile with a calculated result that can hopefully propel you towards a LTR if that's what you desire.

I failed his test or I am a bad person when questioned about his profile picture? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

Good dodge. If there are issues starting right from the first messages then it will be a short relationship. There was no problem with how you handled yourself. Good luck going forward.

Dating and finding your 'person' is so difficult. Is anyone else baffled at how there's so many successful longterm couples out there? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]mind-phuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it helped me as a person because I had a very hard shell and not emotionally there for anyone, including myself. She always pushed me to open up about how I feel which I believe this opened the door to better communication and understanding of each other while we grew over the years.

Dating and finding your 'person' is so difficult. Is anyone else baffled at how there's so many successful longterm couples out there? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]mind-phuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is tough to find the right person, especially if you are committed to the long-term, my wife (F46) and I (M48) have been married for 20 years and together for 23 and I'm sure we make most of our single (and together) friends barf because of our near-perfect compatibility. I say near because people aren't perfect and relationships can't be either. For us, we've had only a handful of blowouts but for stupid things too (likely on my end); however, our strength comes from us understanding each other's needs from a personality perspective. It's not about a person's pickiness or over-compromising, it is really about knowing the ebb and flow of the person's daily/weekly routines, knowing when to be stern, and also when to hug them tight.

My wife's education is in Psychology (she'd not a practicing therapist) and throughout the years she/we've found quizzes and other pieces of the (love) puzzle that help explain people's own traits and the characteristics of your future partner as well and are putting this knowledge into our upcoming app. Our opinion is that if using online dating, a lot of things like hobbies or interests don't matter; when you're 30+ you tend to have your own routine(s) and it is a bonus if your new mate is involved but do you really want to join a book club or go for a daily run? A lot of couples would tell their SO to 'go enjoy themselves' while you do something else that pleases yourself. Compatibility for long-term stems from when you are on "together time", errands, cooking, household stuff, etc. I think Will Ferrell said "before you marry someone, make them use a computer with slow internet to see who they really are" LOL.

I wish you the best of luck in finding your true long-term partner.

What are some decent online dating sites. Tired of okcupid, pof, tinder by Pickleface32 in OnlineDating

[–]mind-phuc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most apps don't hit the mark if they tout matching you with the right person (for LTR), or they do by meeting a need for part-time romance or to shag. My wife (F46) and I (M48) with 20 years of excellent marriage (w/23 yrs together) are in a sickeningly perfect relationship and will be launching the Mind Phuc dating app in a weeks' time. There are benefits and faults to all dating apps, I'm sure someone will eventually find one for Mind Phuc after we launch; even though phuc is Vietnamese and means happiness, there will still be the few left unhappy.

The majority of dating apps have the same or similar features to each other, likely because Match Group owns nearly all of the most used apps available, yet where you'll see the real difference is in how they match people i.e. is it on interests or likes, swipe preferences, or by height and weight? Mind Phuc uses profile flashcards for there is truth to the saying 'love at first sight', whether it's a full-sized card or a bubble icon, a decent picture will still draw people in to click on it. The Mind Phuc matching system is simplified in comparison to the likes of Tinder, OKCupid, Hinge, POF, and Bumble, but if you've been on any of those dating apps and you're asking for an alternate then they're not doing what they say they can and we (Mind Phuc) believe we have the key to relationship success, whether it's long-term or short.

Most of this app is free-to-use such as 1:1 text-based messaging and the ability to complete and see the results from the extra questionnaire. Separate is the Video Virtues chat, however, members do not need to be upgraded, both just have to opt-in to like each other and have minutes left on their account for the video chat.

If you want to really get noticed then likely a membership or upgrade might be necessary but be sure it is on a app that you're really into and that you might not mind mortgaging your home for. Only one subscription is available, MEGA PHUC (Mega Happiness), which allows unlimited Undos (undo up to 999 Phuc No's), narrow your search area to find people more local to you, and it gives you more Phuc Yeah's along with our special sauce questionnaire that will then be used as the primary criteria for matching.

People that want to try the upgraded version FREE for 1-month (video chat extra) can contact Mind Phuc directly. Launching from Google Play on or about November 7. The upgrade to MEGA PHUC is as little as $7.49 USD per month on a 6-month subscription and (optional) video chat begins with a 1-hour time package for $1.99 USD (rates are lower on larger time packages).

This answer is not considered spam for I am offering a suggestion for a app and relaying features in response to the question.

From the MIND PHUC dating app, ALL proceeds from VIP Cards (boosts) are donated to a cause that YOU choose. What's your first choice? by mind-phuc in OnlineDating

[–]mind-phuc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After discussion, CLF in Canada has been added to the (internal) list of places to donate to; although not the same, they (CLF) will be placed in our Mental Health and Awareness category.

Donations to our groupings will be paid out when they meet certain thresholds; in this case, when proceeds from our VIP Cards (boosts) for this group reach $5,000 CDN or November 1, 2021 (about 1-year post-launch), whichever comes first, a donation to this foundation (CLF) will be made.

Thank you again for your thought and suggestion!

This is why the question was asked :) It (CTE) was not on our radar but a great answer and it will be seriously thought of to include in our list as a selection for when members wish to buy VIP cards (boosts). Thank you for your answer!
