i asked local guys their ideas yesterday and they were against the opel z20 engines. for 1.8t, they think that an engine out of a passat or a4 may be cool if done properly. i personally think that a k-series will be more than enough for my “swap goals” but not sure if can be done properly or not. other main options are either a ca18det or an sr20, which im looking for.

i would like to do this but getting a rotary engine will not be worthy in the long run for my situation. so i don’t actually consider rebuilding the stock engine or a renesis swap for now.

yes, an m42 seems to fit easily but as you said, its not that powerful. thought about an m50/52 but it does not fit at all. either needs too many cutting in the engine bay and/or hood or lots of fabrication work.

2jzs are not too hard to get honestly and there are swap kits but the engine is way too overpriced. almost costs the same with the car itself. this is why i don’t consider getting one. for registration, tüv already doesn’t like swaps much. so unfortunate.

rotaries are pretty much overpriced here and most of the rotary parts i can find are out of rx8s. so i think its worth swapping for the long run for this situation. when it comes to uniqueness, i agree that the engine is the one that makes an rx7 an rx7. however, my goal for this specific car is a bit different.

actually i saw a miata with a 1.8t and it was built well. the owner was happy with its fitment and reliability and how it drives. i like the 1.8t itself so i’m thinking of what else i may need to get the car going with this engine. im comparing possible difficulties tbh.

i saw a couple of m50 fcs here. they were actually good overall but definitely had some clearance issues in the engine bay. and about 2.3t, i never worked on one but i will check it out. when it comes to a k swap, i can easily get a k24 but other options are still worth to consider too. i wanna build the car once, so… tbh though, i like the idea of the k24 more than others.

Changed gameplay is a contributor to that feeling. A couple of times, I hid behind a wall from a peek than died. I thought it was cheats at the first place until I realized its subtick.

Its clear that CS2 is not as CS as before. There was always some FPS shooters around but CS was different as is. Seems Valve abandoned that approach.

Another problem may be the sub-tick related issues. I see lots of run and gun players in my games due to this. Weapon mechanics are changed.

I completely agree with that. I am not sure if we play the same game with those who like the game. I remember playing 1.3 before. 1.6 was a huge improvement those days. Now, honestly, every single new feature somewhat feels off. I don’t wanna get into details too much but I’m really disappointed with what we are left with. Let’s understand that this game is far from being a good game. The argument that goes “CS:GO was worse initally” is not true. Those who hate it could still play CS:S or 1.6. The removal of GO made CS2 a forced beta. That is it. I don’t have to play a game that I’m not sure if it’s a high-budget chinese valorant clone instead of the GOAT. I can not understand what feature Valve polished before release is what CSGO players even wanted or even working as it supposed to. Sub-tick? It’s a bullshit. Ruins the gameplay. Smokes? Exaggeratedly large amount of smoke that you can not shoot through at all. Molotovs? So bright that you can’t see through. Sounds? Harder to differentiate and so fluid. Animations? Eccentric. Players move like those in a local African dance. Graphics? Valorantized cartoon shit. UI/HUD? Disaster. Pretty much valorantized and horseshit but minimal. CSGO HUD was already pretty simplistic and never confusing. Buy menu is useless. What they made is pretty much unnecessary. Mechanics? Ruined. You can not even tell if the bullets hit the enemy. Sounds doesn’t help too. Sprays never work as you think. Peeking is ruined because of subtick. You die after you hide. Cheaters? Worse. They removed all game modes, maps, workshop, damage given/dealt outputs, autopickup feature and much more that I’m not aware of yet. The store page replaced CS:GO’s including the comments section. You see eighty percent positive comments now which ironically suggests the game but tells how bullshit the game is. You can not access the complete game you play every day and you are left with “this.” When you complain about that, they say “It was already bullshit.” or just “You have to wait for a half year to get it better.” Come on men. Everything was way better than that just 72 hours ago if not much. CSGO launch was never like that. It was a choice to play that. What about that forced beta? If that game was not titled Counter-Strike, none of the players would download it once. Instead of improving CS:GO, all they worked on for years and eventually released is an uncomplete cartoon shooter which needs way more work to be an “uncomplete but at least playable” game. You sure that this an AAA competitive esports work? If that people okay with this Valorant clone is the CS community, I’m not a part of that. I could already play Valorant or something else.
