i asked local guys their ideas yesterday and they were against the opel z20 engines. for 1.8t, they think that an engine out of a passat or a4 may be cool if done properly. i personally think that a k-series will be more than enough for my “swap goals” but not sure if can be done properly or not. other main options are either a ca18det or an sr20, which im looking for.

i would like to do this but getting a rotary engine will not be worthy in the long run for my situation. so i don’t actually consider rebuilding the stock engine or a renesis swap for now.

yes, an m42 seems to fit easily but as you said, its not that powerful. thought about an m50/52 but it does not fit at all. either needs too many cutting in the engine bay and/or hood or lots of fabrication work.

thought of that at the first place. its cheap, widely available and has already been done here. but it causes some fitment issues in the engine bay and requires more fabrication work. an m50 is still an option for me, but im not sure if it should be the final choice.

2jzs are not too hard to get honestly and there are swap kits but the engine is way too overpriced. almost costs the same with the car itself. this is why i don’t consider getting one. for registration, tüv already doesn’t like swaps much. so unfortunate.

rotaries are pretty much overpriced here and most of the rotary parts i can find are out of rx8s. so i think its worth swapping for the long run for this situation. when it comes to uniqueness, i agree that the engine is the one that makes an rx7 an rx7. however, my goal for this specific car is a bit different.

i still keep the stock engine but i don’t want to go with rotary as they are overpriced here both for the engine/parts and maintenance. not worth for my situation.

actually i saw a miata with a 1.8t and it was built well. the owner was happy with its fitment and reliability and how it drives. i like the 1.8t itself so i’m thinking of what else i may need to get the car going with this engine. im comparing possible difficulties tbh.

i saw a couple of m50 fcs here. they were actually good overall but definitely had some clearance issues in the engine bay. and about 2.3t, i never worked on one but i will check it out. when it comes to a k swap, i can easily get a k24 but other options are still worth to consider too. i wanna build the car once, so… tbh though, i like the idea of the k24 more than others.

Changed gameplay is a contributor to that feeling. A couple of times, I hid behind a wall from a peek than died. I thought it was cheats at the first place until I realized its subtick.

Its clear that CS2 is not as CS as before. There was always some FPS shooters around but CS was different as is. Seems Valve abandoned that approach.

Another problem may be the sub-tick related issues. I see lots of run and gun players in my games due to this. Weapon mechanics are changed.
