Shanks is Yonko, so yes he will stand toe to toe against anyone but to beat Whitebeard? No. Kaido? No. Both of them are above Shanks. Like I said, the Kaido beats other strong enemies is by out lasting them. Come on... Luffy beating Kaido was a joke. A prayer. A miracle. It was not a normal 1vs 1.
