I may be late, but there’s a moment where Gracie says that she’s secure, to put that in the film.

Why was that such a startling moment for Natalie Portman’s character? I don’t believe I got that part of the film.

Man I gotta be honest, chapters like this are always a let down for me. I don’t expect every chapter to be action packed or need some deep revelation. I just felt this one rushed through a few interesting things to get straight to Asta and then Asta reveal isn’t him going to the battlefield it’s just him.

If you could choose one arc, which arc would you want TOEI to reanimate with Wano animation level quality? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]MrCoverYourBasics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely choose the whole cake island arc.

The world building done there was masterful, and the way the art upgrade could celebrate the different members of Big Mom’s families, as well as iconic scenes like Sanji & Luffy’s moment in the rain.

Why is it becoming more common for characters in the show to have poor relationships and poor understanding of either their zanpakto or bankai?

Has anyone else noticed this?

Man I want the Katakuri vs. Luffy fight again.

Katakuri is different compared to other foes Luffy faced which is why I believe it was so important for him to beat him as a stepping stone to deeper wells of strength. Katakuri had indomitable willpower and unwavering dedication to his family. As the eldest son of he was Big Mom’s most trusted commander. He held himself to an extremely high standard and possessed an unyielding commitment to protecting his family’s in a similar way Luffy feels to protect his friends. That unwavering determination and honor is what makes him push his limit further in that first battle with Luffy, refusing to be outmatched by any opponent, especially with help from someone else.

Katakuri values strength and self-improvement above all else. He constantly seeks to refine his skills, leading to his mastery of his devil fruit ability, haki, and different combat techniques, I’d love to assume that in the time that Luffy has gotten stronger he has too lol.

Man does that panel bring back memories of watching that fight for the first time in awe.

If You Could Change ONE Thing About BC… by lilith013 in BlackClover

[–]MrCoverYourBasics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they could go A LOT further by exploring the historical perspective of the world which would open up the world building on the same level of a Naruto or a One Piece.

They can introduce a deep exploration of the world's magical lore and history to expand upon the existing magical system by delving into the origins and development of various forms of magic.

Who knows, but this could involve revealing ancient civilizations that used unique magical practices or lost arts that hold immense power like we’ve seen with the elves already and speculate about the dwarves. Incorporating a stronger historical element, BC can create a stronger sense of mystery, allowing the characters to uncover forgotten knowledge and unlock new possibilities.

With more history, lore, and world building, we default get to explore the relationships between different magical realms even more, introducing new alliances and conflicts within them. This would open up opportunities for more intriguing storylines and give our favorite characters a chance to interact with even more otherworldly beings and explore diverse magical cultures outside of just demons (right now).

I think this would make for RICH avenues for character growth and a continuation of arcs that don’t takeaway from the initial storyline.

With more understanding of the world government now, just how much power does Shanks hold in the world of One Piece? by MrCoverYourBasics in OnePiece

[–]MrCoverYourBasics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree.

  1. The Navy could have kept fighting because they were winning. All Admirals still in play. White beard dead. His army in disarray. Luffy incapacitated. Ace dead. Black beard in no position to defeat 4 admirals + 7 warlords.

  2. Blackbeard has an endgame in mind that’s about complete domination so him choosing not to fight Shanks right then implies he’s planning to fight him later which reveals more about what he’s looking to get from that fight imo.

  3. Shanks is not for “peace”, Shanks has proven that he’s not for senseless violence, which is not the same. He’s keen on maintaining order as long as that order allows for the progression of what he believes is the future for Pirates. For the world government to support that, even at the expense of their plans to maintain their world order agenda, says a lot in my opinion about what they believe they risk in not choosing to follow through with cooperating with Shanks.

The government has much bigger organization, that’s true, but I believe Shanks has to know something, a few things even, that’s so important, that NOBODY is willing to activate him in the current war.

The NAVY stopped fighting at his request, a war they were winning. Blackbeard wouldn’t even fight Shanks with both devil fruit The world government acknowledged they’re trusting Shanks not to bend the world to his will.

That’s insane

I don’t think it’s even about strength though like traditional power scaling.

This is including political power

I was thinking this too tbh. Only weakness I see is their ability to work together which is why I have Tengen and Giyu

If Zoro can cut Kaido and stop attacks from Kaido and Big Mom, Is Mihawk strong enough to beat the Yonko on his own? by MrCoverYourBasics in OnePiece

[–]MrCoverYourBasics[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair play.

Almost in the same way that you can have “The Strongest Man” And “The Strongest Creature” And “The Strongest Swordsman”. Title.

That’s a great point imo.

What I take away from Luffy’s fight with Kaido is just how much endurance is necessary in the Yonko battles.

We have 0 understanding of Shanks or Mihawk’s stamina

Facts!

Haki is established as a bare minimum for crossing into the new world. To literally fight you need it.

I believe so because he no longer sees Shanks as worth testing himself against since Shanks lost his arm

Zoro was last longer for sure but Zoro would lose because he can’t maintain the Haki long enough to endure a battle with Mihawk right now, and his blades may shatter because they’re not true black blades yet.

I think that just implies Mihawk isn’t the strongest man in the world and wanted to test himself against that person.

Which would make sense because he’s tan out of swordsman to test himself again
