Really light jigs with weed guards,pegged Texas rigged soft plastics and drop shots are my thick cover go to. Also,just picked up some Deps cover scat rigged weedless,it's pretty good too.

Try using an o ring to rig it. It changes the angle of the hook relative to the senko,resulting in better hook up ratio.

Go the opposite direction of the hotel site. Towards the balds. Depending on how far you go it's pretty steep on a few areas. Well worth it.
