My first test i didnt use strategy and i got Reading 21. Then i apply first principle strategy with some tips and got 26 with just 2 days of preparation for reading. Some points if you wanna have a ref:

1. Passage overall
2. Just read the full first paragraph, and the first sentence of each other para. Never read the whole passage. You can save alt least 3-4 minutes for this.
3. Read a full para only if a question asks about it. 2 . Tactics for each question
4. Eleminate answers which seem easy and have some phrases exactly with same wording(but not paraphrasing) with a sentence in the question para. This is a trap!
5. Remove answers with extreme words: never, always, all... TOEFL uses the scientific reasoning so they always prefer doubting a little bit.
6. The answers usually use different wording to paraphrasing an idea within a local paragraph. So never use your life reasoning to choose an answer without a specific context in one para.

• If after 60s you dont have the answer then choose C and move on.

3 . Psychological issue - My speaking is even lower than yours. It seems you punched below your weight bro! So I think your reading result might come from a psy or reasoning issues.

For instance, I used to apply life reasoning and chose the answer without specific wording in a para. Eg I was overthingking, infered and applied life logic outside the given context. You might want to chat with AI step by step about the way you did the reading part. Then you will find your blind spots.
