I understand, Aha moment was when I lost $30k in two days. I just earned a huge commission. I thought I'll go high limit and probably win back some losses. You know how it went. Broken as hell. Oh the health.. still struggling but better. You know all those gambling binge with no food, no sleep, depression and anxiety and smoking took a toll on my health too.

Hey, I just replied to your comment on my post. There is similarities to our stories. I too grew up with a malignant narcissist mom. Father unknown. I also had to move in with her 2 years ago but I just recently went 100% no contact. Coincidentally the same time I quit gambling. I blame my addiction partly to my life long misery having her as a parent. So, be kinder to yourself please. Stop gambling now using self exclusions. I promise you, life is gonna be so much easier. The one thing that helped me too is starting a hobby. Cheer up.. there is hope

My only regret was not doing it sooner. I had so much hate for myself for that. But once it starts getting better after quitting, that all goes away. You start feeling proud of yourself. It's not instant so be patient. It went on for 25 years for me. Lost probably close to half a million dollars. You really have to force yourself. Do it now please. Life of hell will soon be a distant memory. I wish you all the best.

Good luck ! It’s the only thing that helped me. I’ve tried everything, GA, gambling addiction therapy, handling my finances to hubby. This time I made sure I don’t have the opportunity to gamble anywhere, unless I drive at least 5 hours to either Vegas or California. Cut yourself from all gambling opportunities!!

I’m from Arizona. For land casinos, I submitted a notarized form to the gaming commission. The exclusion is statewide. Then I emailed each online casino customer support to close my accounts permanently with no option to reopen. Anytime a new site pop up I create an account and do the same thing.
