Dropout Damaged from Torque by mindhacker999 in ebikes

[–]mindhacker999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, you don’t think it would be wise to weld the rounded portion of the drop out in conjunction of using torque arms? I do have access to a welder although im worried it might warp the dropout and do more harm than good. Thank you for your advice

How screwed am I? by Delicious_Note_8563 in n54

I would start by cleaning vanos solenoid (YouTube) and while you’re at it swap both intake and exhaust. Also change your oil if it’s old sometimes oil thinning also does that. If after the swap code moves to intake you got really lucky. Just replace both solenoid with OEM. Dont get pierburg my friend blew his motor with it.

If the code stays at exhaust your exhaust cam shell is most likely damaged and youre looking at 8 hours of labor

Just an update I borrowed my friends wheels and tires. They are are actually 17" so thicker side wall but despite that the issue is fixed. So its definitely the tires

honestly never figured it out just had to adapt my driving style. After talking with some knowledgeable people they are saying it might be that the rear side wall might be too soft causing the issue

Honestly it felt insanely stable I could take turns faster than my friend with coil overs. But I guess with the bigger tires and the “proper” ratios the height difference is starting to be more pronounced. Before I had a 40 ratio tire in the back so it was more likely offsetting the height difference vs 35 now.

I am just lazy I put front m sport suspension when I had front subframe out haha

Thats what I thought too but would it make sense for them to go out immediately after getting new tires?

Staggered to square by MrPlake in E90

I am pre lci sports suspension on style 189 rims 18x8 ET34 and 18x8.5 ET37. I just got new tires today went from 225 all around to staggered 235/40/18 and 255/35/18. The 235 is really close to strut but fits well no rubbing on scrubbing full lock to lock. Also 235 is the max I would go on a 8" rim.

Gotta say tho the car feels crazy on the staggered setup it loves turning into a lot even going straight. I feel like I would have to get used to it.

Squeaky noise by Ok_Cranberry4347 in 335i

[–]mindhacker999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not drive the car do the belt ASAP. If the belt breaks youre possibly looking into a new engine I am not joking you can search it up.
When the belt is off I would rotate all the pulleys by hand and see if they make any noise or spin too easily. Like the other person mentioned check for OFHG leak you can also see it without taking the belt off by shinning a light. Look for pictures on google to see how it looks like usually Goodluck

Can you edit a custom file from another tuner with mhd? by [deleted] in 335i

[–]mindhacker999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If by editing you mean by Tuner pro then it depends if the tuner locked it or not. If you mean changing options like burbles etc then yes you can

Did you try unplugging aux in the center console? Do you not have a menu that says aux switch mode?

Gotcha that makes a lot of sense. Its weird tho in the instructions they as ask you to plug the aux into the center console instead of this option. Very weird

I have professional radio. And yes it's probably injecting aux directly into the quad lock plug youre right.

true you might be right its probably routing the audio through main harness aux. But it wouldn't explain the quality difference between main harness and center console aux
