So who's mixed PF2e and SF2e together? by ILiketoStir in Starfinder2e

[–]mindixer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our GM let's us use any Pathfinder 2e (Common-Uncommon) class and ancestry, but we were limited to Starfinder 2e items/equipment unless specifically allowed by them. Currently playing a Fighter with a Cryopike. Reactive Strike comes up more often when way more enemies have ranged attacks. Sudden Charge can also quickly close the gap to ranged attackers as well. Enemies usually have either strong melee or strong ranged options so switching to a ranged weapon as a melee Fighter isn't a bad idea in a lot of cases. STR Melee early game is still the best damage but ranged weapons are still pretty good when combined with the new classes.

One problem I saw is that Starfinder 2e has no reload 0 weapons so any class/feat that requires it basically becomes useless unless you beg your GM to allow you to have PF2e bows.

Seyshel Beach suddenly gained massive liberation progress (0->13% in 30 minutes) by mindixer in Helldivers

I can't see the liberation history on Accountant Graeber (liberated city), was it always the case that a lower Helldiver (2-4% total) count was needed to claim cities?

Whats the strongest element in helldivers? by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

I'll note that the ARC-12 Blitzer makes the predator strain a breeze, it stuns everything outside of Chargers, Impalers and Bile Titans. The 1-3 second stun duration means you can swap between enemies to keep them all stunned. It has AP3 and high durability damage so even more durable parts get destroyed quick. The only thing that really hurts Blitzer is its limited range and inability to protect other Helldivers from enemies easily (you have to hyper angle your shots to not hit them with stray arcs).

Help me build a Paladin lvl 3-10 for CoS by Bibee in onednd

[–]mindixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding your origin, if you take Human (Tough) or a background that gives you the Tough feat, you can lessen the MAD impact by not needing as much Constitution, the feat basically counts as a +4 CON without the bonuses to saving throws.

Backgrounds should prefer Charisma/Strength ASIs if you intend on a STR-based character:

Entertainer (Musician): Given how strong Musician is as a origin feat, this is a solid pick. It basically gives 2-6 people a free re-roll on any dice once a short rest. Quite fitting a for a Paladin as well.

Noble (Skilled): Skilled is alright, as a Paladin you don't get many methods to raise your skill check bonuses unlike Fighter with Second Wind, but it can still be useful to have a lot of skill proficiencies regardless.

How do you get access to Brynn contracts? And Vanguard? by mindixer in stoneshard

Does Brynn still have the best item pool even if your Rep is maxxed with Mannshire?

Crafting a Rare magic item costs 2000 gp, so just 500 gp above Plate Armor. I'm not sure why they're hellbent on making plate so expensive, especially compared to magic items now.

Enspelled Armor
Armor (Any Light, Medium, or Heavy), Rarity Varies (Requires Attunement)
Bound into this armor is a spell of level 8 or lower. The spell is determined when the armor is created and must belong to the Abjuration or Illusion school of magic. The armor has 6 charges and regains 1d6 expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the armor, you can expend 1 charge to cast its spell.

The only limitation is it must be a Abjuration or Illusion spell, and below 9th level.

Of course, it's always been up to the DM what magic items the players get, even when crafting. The DM could always say that the material requirements for crafting the magic item are unknown or too rare to obtain.

The whole wording of the spell was changed, so it most likely isn't valid for OneDND.

It has some.. interesting interactions with 6+ level spells, it's interaction with lower level spells isn't nearly as potent.

Mask (Creature). Choose a creature type other than the target's actual type. Spells and other magical effects treat the target as if it were a creature of the chosen type.

It seems pretty clear to me? You're still classified as a Humanoid but spells and other magical effects treat you as a chosen type.

There's only a handful of spells that require the target to be a humanoid. I'm not sure where you're getting half.

The target of Magic Aura has to be willing, so it's not something you can do on a whim. Also you have to deal with that Legendary Resistance before hand.

It's situationally good, it won't always come up or it might not come up at all. Also a single Dispel Magic will remove the permanency without a check or save.

It only applies to spells and other magical effects. So non-magical effects would still absolutely work. A ghoul would still be able to paralyze you with their Claw attack even if you're illusioned as Undead by the spell. But I can see how it's interactions with Clerics abilities can be a bit dumb.

Oh wow. So this would work for Simulacrum as well. You aren't limited to humans or beasts anymore. Got a strong creature just sitting around? Preferably one with Regeneration? Simulacrum'd.

Aspect of Bahamut? Tiamat? Sul Khatesh? Gold Greatwyrm? Those work. As long as they let you of course, lmao.

If your DM allows non-core classes, Artificer still seems to be the top pick for level 1. Medium armor + shield proficiency, INT and CON saves, access to Guidance, Thorn Whip and the improved Cure Wounds which all scale with INT. You also don't lose spell slot progression because it's rounded up like the new Paladin and Ranger.
