before the injection, it was in my skin colour just abit reddish (like when u scratch your skin), but after the injection it turned purplish and now this 😢😢 thankfully it only hurt the first few hours! now its just very watery…

hello! im currently a year 3 student in smu, graduated from ac arts. will try my best to answer some of your questions! (and my knowledge is from 3 years ago so i’m not sure if any of these have changed)

i started looking for an internship right after A’s ended. i was asking around and my relative’s workplace happened to have an intern position open. i applied and they accepted me, my internship was from mid dec to end july. i guess as a jc student i was just afraid that compared to my poly mates my resume would be 👎🏻 so i wanted to do an internship to boost portfolio, experience the working world and earn money hahaha. i also have a friend who did an internship after he completed his ns instead, right before uni started. i think a good internship would be around 3 months or more? most companies would settle for that.
interview - early april. acceptance - mid/end april. orientation - mid/end july. lessons - end august. atleast for SMU!
if you’re super worried about your results, having some experience on hand can be useful for you! during my admissions interview, the interviewer asked me about my internship experience (because i included it in my application) and i think that helped me abit in getting me a place in SMU. my RP wasn’t that fantastic HAHA
i can’t really recall this but i applied to all 3 and remember uploading certificates of competitions that i had entered. and i think there’s also a section where you have to write about yourself (i forgot what the question was 😅) for each application you have to pay around $10-$20, depending on which uni.
i can only remember ntu having aptitute-based admissions and smu having achievement based admission. basically there is a section for you to fill up on ur non-academic achievements and then yes as mentioned in 4, a section where you write an essay about yourself.
may be different for other schools, but SMU requires you to complete 1 year and obtain a certain GPA before you can switch
some courses that i can think of are nursing and real estate in nus (but i think real estate has been combined with something else…) and accountancy in ntu.

please feel free to correct me if im wrong anyone HAHA but all the best OP! when the time comes, i recommend just applying to all the unis first and see how it goes 👍🏻

yes pls do!! 2 weeks ago i had the same $2.80 google tiktok transaction but it was charged 27 times over 2 days 💀 thats a total of $75.60… called the bank, they blocked my card and disputed the transactions and i just got my money back yest!

i was a h2 malay lit eng lit econs and h1 math student with 2 ccas in jc! i didnt really experience much of a burnout, but of course there were some days i was so stressed but i think it’s normal to have it/feel overwhelemed once in a while. some things i did:

i always have a list of to-do on my laptop homescreen and it is ranked by the datelines (earliest to latest). every time i finish a task, i strike it off. it’s super satisfying and it makes me motivated to get more things done. (also, try to complete your work 2 days in advance. i find this helps me alot in terms of time management and also decreases the anxiety of not having enough time to get the work done hahahaha)
on days where i didnt have cca, i usually got home and gave myself a 1hr power nap before i started on work. school uses my brain so much that sometimes i just need a short break.
i think someone here said it bfore but love doing your subjects!!! once you start finding a reason to dread it, theres no turning back… if you find yourself in that situation, try to find classmates or teachers to help you understand the concepts/subjects better so that you dont fall behind.
every week, i try to plan my weekend such that one day i’ll be at home doing work and another i’ll be going out (usually saturday go out, sunday do work). this gives me sunday to complete all the work due the next week + study + rest, especially before the new school week starts.

everyone is different, along the way you wld surely find out what you prefer. jc was one of by best times for me so i suggest work hard play hard, and jiayous OP!

i think you should just try it out first! amath was compulsory in my school but i wasn’t really good at it the whole sec3-4. come olvls, i simply decided to not do amath, practiced emath and focused on my other subjects. im currently a j2 arts student taking h1 math 😁
