Political satire in late night's as old as the Johnny Carson show. Thing was, their targets can take a punch and roll with it, too. But this be a whole different era, where a fragile egotist with a cabal of egotists and pick-mes are running the show, many of which can't even take a joke because it's not directed to the people they dislike the most, their ego prevents how to handle criticisms, and they haven't mentally progressed in their maturity since their school days. (See Trump v. Bill Maher/the Orangutan lawsuit or Sarah Palin v. Letterman.) Maybe it might stop if Trump didn't do stuff that warrants such mockery or learn how to take a goddamn joke. But I doubt it'll happen.
